Hello all! I'm a newcomer to the group but I have been riding for quite a while
now. (5 years...I have two unicons under my belt!) One of my friends got himself
a two wheeler (that is two wheels one above the other for those who have never
seen one) and we're having the worst time in the world learning. it's like you
have to un-learn everything and re-do everything the opposite way. I remember
seeing Andy and Constance cotter riding at the Unicons,

So: I'm basically hoping for someone like them to give me some tips for
learning, because it's getting frustrating.

Thank you very much.

Olivier.

Yes, one has to un-learn standard unicycle riding and almost start from scratch.
Someone straight off the street without any unicycle riding experience might
have an easier time learning to ride the two wheeler. :)

Try idling next to a pole, fence or something solid to hang on to with one hand.
This will allow one to "ride" without the risk of falling.

Put almost all one's weight on the seat when pedaling for better control.

It may be a bit late for this advice: Learn to ride with a 16" two wheeler,
since it will be shorter, about 4.5' tall, thus fear of falling will be less.
Also the smaller gear inch allows finer control with less effort.

Stay on Top, On Two Wheels,
