I just thought I would like everybody to know that I've cracked it,
unicycling that is. At the grand old age of 41 (29 in hex looks better) I
managed to go about 40 yards with myself mostly in control. I first
attempted unicycling about 17 years ago, but there was none of the
juggling/unicycling workshops that exist today, there was no Internet
either with Unicycling sites etc., so I had no one to tell me what I was
doing wrong (everything it now seems). So I sold the Uni I had found in a
bike shop and forgot about it (almost). I got into juggling a couple of
years ago, balls, rings, clubs, torches (you know the slippery slope) and
of course I saw uni's again, so I saved up and bought a nice red DM
Ringmaster and three weeks ago at the workshop I go to in Wokingham, I had
my first go at it again, taking note of all the good advice available to
me. So after three weeks....
Wow,..! I got some great bruises on my inner thighs and I must have
sweated of pounds but I've done it.8-) :-) :-)
So you are never to old to learn, OK I do not suppose I will ever be a
great unicyclist but who cares, next week I'll try for more steering and
maybe free mounting.
