If i'm not mistaken that was sammy hellwig. I know he parasailed , let go
and landed at his hotel (somewhere in the tropics if i remember correctly)
and was promptly hasseled, if not kicked off. I'm sorry i can't remember
more details but i do know for sure that he did something similar to the
stunt described earlier. Check your old OOWs, it's featured in the things
not to try on your uni section a couple of years ago.

I just thought maybe this is what y'all were talkin about.

Oh, one more thing, i heard that there was a huricane headed for the big
Puerto Rico today. If alberto, you are out there and are not too buse y

Sammy was indeed featured in the 'Things not to do' section in the UNICYCLING
Quarterly section of ON ONE WHEEL a while back. However, for the rest of you who
are also not familiar with parasailing, it is not done from an airplane. The
parasailer is reeled out from the back of a moving boat, not unlike a kite.

So, who was this daring unicyclist going out of an airplane? Could it be the
same guy riding off the plank to bungee jump from that very high bridge (see
animations on the Unicycling Homepage)?

There was a guy from New Jersey, who went to UNICON III in Tokyo, who was a
skydiver and talked about doing such a stunt. Bill Jenack even wrote of it in
one of the early USA Newsletters. I think it's been done before, but not on TV!

I never heard of the show on which this was done. Can someone shed a little more
light on the show, and possibly offer us a lead on who was the uni-sky-diver?
