hi everyone
last solstice myself and my good friend wee ralph took the last train out of london to andover and then unicycled the last 12 miles down the A3 to the henge.

for those of you who dont know, english heritage (the org that owns (did they build it?) the henge) allow free open access to the stones from midnight till 8 am on the day of the solstice. you can actually touch the stones at this event. the rest of the year you have to pay to get in and then the stones are fenced off so you cant actually get near them. at the summer solstice the sun rises over one of the stones as they were designed to do. on the winter solstice it sets over another stone so why english heritage allow people over night access in the winter is a bit wierd as you cant observe the sunset at that time.

anyway i propose a cycle ride from London Waterloo to the henge departing on 18th we will be riding our 36" unis and aim to complete 50 miles on that day and fifty on the next to arrive at the henge soon after midnight on the 20th

so this is an open invitation to anyone who wishes to join us

we are still working out the route and trying to find somewhere to stop off half way but if people do want to come along then let us know and we can get an idea of the size of this thing
anyway im off to begin training

cheers everyone
