just got my 28" uni

What a beast this thing is to start & turn. I thought it might be a practical
cycl for commuting, but it's a real pain in traffic.

Anybody else use larger-wheel cycles and have any tips for me?

Michael, I'm surprised you're having difficulty with your new uni. I've got a
28"er and I love it! Maybe it'll just take a little more time to get used to
it... or maybe it just goes to prove... everybody has different tastes and
opinions (which; incidently, is what helps to make this newsgroup interesting!)

I've had a 28" unicycle for about a year and a half. Just give it some time, and
it will feel quite natural. I commute with mine with no trouble, and can do
turns and idling. I don't have any specific advice; I just got used to it after
a while. If I have to commute with my 24" model know I feel like I am walking.

Keep riding it. I'm sure you will get used to controlling the larger wheel
in traffic.

Otherwise, you may want to explain in more detail how you are trying to start
and turn. Also, you may want to explain what might be causing the trouble.
