Title says it all!

Did you know:
She has owned over 30 Corgis
She has had the same Hairdresser for 20 years
She sent her first e-mail back in 1976
and my personal favourite, She owns all sturgeons, Whales and Dolphins in british waters. lololololol What if they swim into other waters are they still hers? and if you owned a Dolphin that swam into her waters would you loose ownership? or would it just be put on hold untill your dolphin left the british waters? I am worried, what if she was to call up all these watery beasts and let them loose on the world, watch our America (oops, i think i may have just sealed the fate of british waters. prepare to be bombed. The goose is up!)

i feel guilty after calling the queen 'she'

I have owned several Corgis. They were of the toy car variety. :)

What if they swim into other waters are they still hers? Not until they swim back.

Happy birthday Her Majesty! She is a she, isn't she? Perhaps I don't know the proper protocol.

Her Majesty's a pretty nice girl but she doesn't have a lot to say
Her Majesty's a pretty nice girl but she changes from day to day
I want to tell her that I love her a lot, but I've got to get a bellyful of wine
Her Majesty's a pretty nice girl some day I'm gonna make her mine
Oh yeah
Someday I'm gonna make her mine

She owns all sturgeons, Whales and Dolphins in british waters.'

also all swans. No they are not hers if they swim out of British waters, it's a similar law to the one that says you own any wild animal that's on your land, if it leaves your land it's not yours anymore.

How old is she now?

stranger still, imagine an 82 year old woman being the head of a large army.

and there really aren't many dolphins in british waters

she would need a chariot. it would be amusing to watch her order attacks.

yet still. that is not many dolphins who are not there own dolphin.

Go, Brenda!

If we must have an hereditary Head of State, this one has done us proud. The poor old sod deserves a rest after all the hard work she's done for us, and I mean that.

And I'd rather have her in charge of the army than some Commander in Chiefs I could think of...

Some of them cannot even correctly pluralize.

Miss A, is that you?

Oh, the great void that is her absence, it pains me so!

She generates more tourist capital than just about anything else in this country. Her role is mainly as an ambassador for the country, but she can of course refuse and government that is voted in to parliament if she wishes. Think of her as insurance that the BNP will never gain power.

she is head of state('s)

Tobbogonist: If you're going to pluralise state in that context you wouldn't use an apostrophe!

Apostrophe's denote a contraction or ownership. In your context it's just a simple pluralisation.

But, in that context anyway just 'Head of State' without the s is correct. Her title is Head of State in each of those countries, not Head of States in each of those countries.

:)

Also, are the Aussies planning on chucking out my beloved queen?? For shame! Whatever happened to 'My fellow Australians'?

i was not pluralising to be gramaticly correct in that context.

i was refering to her owning the dolphins, which would make them the queens dolphins'

there her states's (although some people would argue otherwise) she is head of state's :)

i have to thank meastro for succesfully teaching me the apostrophe with that irritating flower cartoon.

As for 'ousting' the Queen. Quite a few Australians are all for getting rid of her. Quite frankly i dont mind, as long as she keeps her mits of our dolphins, there great for tourism.

tourism ofcourse, how many people try to make the guards laugh? and look at the palace? Does she have a say over new laws comming out though?

tobbogonist

mmm the queens guards, i have always imagined the outrageous headgear they wear would make the best pillow. Or cleaning utensil for the bathroom. Although she does have to get with the times, its all about being neither seen nor heard in security these days. a few hidden cameras and the odd royal ninja maybe?

how do they tell the difference between an attacker and a regular joe tugging there moustache for a laugh?
