1. find a rediculous obstacle
2. Atempt to jump up it
3. fail miserably
4. heres the important part, you want to make sure your face slams into either ground or obstacle
5. throw a flip in, people think my 180 degree face plant is spectacular
6. if you actually need to get up, experinent with facegrabing. the skin to rubber manuever is quite a challenge*

* please, this is a dangerous stunt

brian O. might just slaughter me

Falling is a skill that everyone should learn and learn early. It is very important to have enough falls under your belt before you start to do stuff where falling could be serious.

You can practice falling from many different positions off different types of objects and heights.

A friend of mine is an elementary teacher and she says that kids are no longer taught how to fall in school. I think it is ridiculous, why not teach it? are they afraid that the kids will get hurt while learning to fall? Sure it happens, that is exactly why we should teach people how to fall properly.

I find that the shoulder roll or even the reverse pushup style landings are usually more appropriate. I haven't done a proper face-plant for as long as I remember but I have had a few falls that could have seriously hurt (and one that did) since picking up unicycling.

and vanpaun, you need to work on your invisible writing.
