Nope, I don't play any MMORPGS. I used to play Diablo II, but I feel the slang isn't from that. Pretty much anyone and my school will be able to say what those mean...

I can't think of anything really PAish that would be appropriate, But it usually involves some backwards french grammar said with a bit of a slur and a cree influence ending with aaHHHhhe (with tongue stuck out and pointing down)

Every one in a while I say a PAism when I am down in Toon Town (S-toon, I mean Saskatoon) and people know that I hang out with PAers a lot.

I live in rural Nova Scotia.
We have an expression here that is ambiguous.
When something is "All gooned up", it means, alternatively, " Set to go,everything is taken care of and as good as it can be" OR it means a situation so inordinately makeshift that...the plumbing, the car repair, the relationship... is doomed to failure by the sheer ineptness of the procedure, material or logic.

I heard this one from a Vietnam vet, when he stayed at my little country Inn. When the troops wanted to get rid of an officer who, in their opinion, was endangering the group, it was called "rocketing the hut." I guess you can guess what happened.

Just a minor point but nearly all of these so called 'dialects' are not dialect at all, they are slang words, which are different from an actual dialect.

Nevertheless, usage of slang expressions can spread outside their original arenas to become commonly used.


If you do have an interest in speaking proper English then this is important to know, especially if you work with the public in anyway where knowing when to use and not use both forms of language is important.
