I thought it might be cool if people posted their personal life's philosophy, so if you have one you'd like to share, post it here.
(try to make it original) :)
This is mine which I relate to unicycling:
"For me, life has become a lot like mountain unicycling;
The point is not to avoid obstacles, but to meet them head on, and overcome them"

Be honest with yourself and others, it saves a lot of effort.
Don't be afraid to have fun, but be conscious of your actions.
Hugs are better than drugs.

To live, is to be able at any moment to sacrifice what we are for what we could become.

never face problems .... wait until they are looking in another direction...
(so it's another path than Muniaddict's: I try to smoothly skip obstacles :D )
(well that's just a principle: I happened to stand my ground and be a stubborn person.... but it costs a lot of energy.... Unicycling taught me about energy saving)

Live for today (because there are many more ways to die than I ever dreamed of before I started nursing) but at least make half a plan for tomorrow because it might come (as the past tomorrows have). Also, I stand for my rights and space but try not to impede upon the rights and space of others.

Make things better for others in any way you can.
If you can't do that, then at least play nice and do no harm.
As far as obstacles on life's trails, you need to perfect the art of knowing when to meet them head on, when to take the past of least resistance, and when to bail before even getting close.

But I stand by my philosophy; besides, it just sounds great! Short, sweet and poetic. There are always gray areas, but it loses meaning and clarity when you try to jam every perspective and pad the quote 'till it loses it's meaning. But the great thing about this is that it's YOUR philosophy, and the way you or I see things will not always be the same. That's good! We are all individuals.:cool:

Of course. Your philosophy has enabled you to become an awesome unicyclist. But mine has kept me alive. One size does not fit all. :D

Of course. Your philosophy has enabled you to become an awesome unicyclist. But mine has kept me alive. One size does not fit all. :DWell, I'm going to back off on the big drops..at least for a while lol! Of course there are always obstacles better off avoided-and I was mostly generalizing and trying to put a positive spin on my outlook. But yes, I have to temper my "obstacle confrontations" with a healthy dose of common sense! :)
I think as far as unicycling goes, I just get over enthused sometimes and want to try stuff out of the sheer challenge and the rush you get, forgetting that I'm TOO FRICKIN OLD TO DO THIS STUFF LOLOLOLO!!!:o:p:D:cool:
