Sacramento area unicycle meetings

If you are a unicyclist in the general Northern California area, or know of any
others, I am planning to finally start a club somewhere in the Sacramento area,
or in the Sierra Nevada foothils.

I Live in Rocklin, which is on the Northeastern outskirts of the Sacramento
suburbs. I'm in contact with a small handful of unicyclists in this area, but
I'm sure there are others.

If you would like to get together and meet with other unicyclists, share
skills and knowledge, and learn more about our fun sport, please give me a
call. We're trying to establish a meeting place, and it will depend on where
we are all coming from. We may also have more than one meeting place if we're
too spread out.

Wow, I'm glad I no longer have the same email address or phone number! Those are Internet no-nos these days. :) Yes, I was unicycle@aol.com, back when AOL was the easiest way to get online. Before the WWW! And in 1995, there was essentially no unicycling community out here. In California, that is. So much has changed!

Welcome back to Sacramento! I've actually been planning a big ride for August 29, but don't have any other way to contact some of you "local" riders so I'll mention it here. It's the Hole In The Ground trail, which starts at the Donner Summit. About 12 miles of MUni starting around 7000' and going up from there. The end point is quite a bit lower but there's a lot of up and down along the way. If you feel up to such a ride (I barely do), we'll be meeting up there at 10:00am or at my house at 8:00 for carpooling.
