Who does it? What brand/kind do you have? Whats your best RPM? I have a Neon Green Pro NSD powerball. So far my best RPM is somwhere like 9,987. Yeah, alright for a 13 year old :). Please don't bash it, it really is fun/cool. I saw another thread like it, but it was a pagefull of negative comments.
Stay cool,
Jeremy.

Max RPM is worthless... the thing is designed for endurance training.
Now pick a high RPM and hold it for 10 minutes... that'd be something worth bragging about.
Those things make my forearms burn after a few minutes.

I hadn't heard of this, kinda neat. I'll look for one to try sometime. I don't understand why starting without the starter string is such a talent.

yeah, i can do 7000 for like 10 minutes.Starting without the string is talent. I can do it, but you need to spin somthing close to about 1000 rpm with your thumb, a challenge indeed.

I have two, but don't know the brands. They're fun is all I can say:)
I have a no-name brand.
No flashing lights, doesn't indicate rpm, but helped me strengthen my arms and hands when I was into climbing.
It's bound to be in a box somewhere.

I don't have one, but those things sure are cool. I don't remeber which one of my friends introduced it to me, I think it was a unicyclist tho.
Someone tell me what we're talking about here. I'm too lazy to use google.

While learning how to unispin my wrist and forearm got really sore.
I used a powerball to build up some strength and it really helped :)

Let me help. It's a carpal-tunnel enhancement device, or possibly a masturbation training device. Anyway that's the impression I get from looking at the videos linked to the thread...

ill go more into detail on aim, but heres the thing
PRO=speed counter, unless you ONLY want the exercise get it.
Neon=slightly less capable then plain, but glows (signATURE INCLUDED)
Techno= like neon, it glows, except the score is displayed on the gyro. Cannot enter in contests, like neon, slightly less power
Metal= advanced/expensive dont get it

I don't think the Neon ones are any less capable, they both say "250Hz."
These things look pretty neat, I don't have 40 bucks to blow at the moment though.

they both say "250Hz."
Yet nowhere on their site do they say what the significance of this number is. Hz is short for "Hertz", a unit of "cycles per second".
Does the counter read the ball's RPM 250 times a second?
Does the website spam you 250 times a second?
Inquiring minds would like to know...

from reading further in the site and some elementary maths it's the 'rated' (whatever that means) frequency of rotation, presumably what they thought someone would be likely to achieve, which has since been exceeded. Should really be in rads s^-1 for my likeing.

The reason neon is less capable is the lights make it heavier/ less balanced i think. 250hz is the max it can go, but akis is insane, so God made exceptions :).
