I wish i could! It has been unavailable down here for sooooooo long - i reckon its been at least 5 years!
You have no idea how excited i was when i found it!
I asked if they sold it by the carton and unfortunately it was only 25 cents per can cheaper to get a carton.
I want the 1.25 lt bottles back;)

My wife got some Diet Dr Pepper Cherry Chocolate today. It tastes like a carbonated cherry Tootsie-Pop. Not bad.

I like - but don't love - Dr Pepper and it is available.

I much prefer Dr Brown's Cream Soda. Perhaps it's a Jewish (http://www.unicyclist.com/forums/showpost.php?p=975843&postcount=27) thing.

Don't feel bad. We can't get ginger beer (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ginger_beer) soda over here except at specialty importers. We can get ginger ale (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ginger_ale) over here but that bears very little resemblance to the real thing.

Dr. Pepper is prune juice. It's for old people. That's why I love it very much. The only thing in the world better than Dr. Pepper is Vegemite.

Actually, I don't drink much pop
Which brings up another question. What do you call the drink? Pop? Soda? On the U.S. east coast, everything is a coke. "I'll have a 7-UP coke, please."

We call it a 'soft drink' here, along with all fizzy non-alcoholic beverages;)

Awesome softdrink, I buy it every time when I am visiting the US - but it is not generally avaliable here in Germany.

But I must also say that I find Barq's (http://www.barqs.com/index.jsp) better.

Funny thing, I just went to WJW (trial and street meeting for uni's and also jugling) in The Netherlands and there I finaly got a bottle of Dr Pepper again after 8 years of not drinking it.
First it wasn't that good but after a few more drinks I loved it again.
To bad it isn't for sale where I live, realy wonder why.
So: I love it :)

It's pretty commonly available in the UK in shops that have a reasonable selection of drinks. I drink it occasionally and quite like it if I'm in the mood for something really sweet. If I'm drinking fizzy drinks though I'll usually go for Coke. Dandelion and Burdock is nice as well.

i don't even know where tasmania is?Let me guess, you're an American, right? (checks profile) Yup, thought so. We Americans somehow manage to get through many years of school and most of us don't even know where half of our own states are, let alone other countries. The scary thing is that it doesn't seem to matter to us. We are too rich and too powerful to be so indifferent to the rest of the world. Instead of looking it up, we don't seem to mind telling the world that it doesn't matter that we don't know where things are.

Uh, sorry Chad, didn't mean to take anything out on you, that applies to most of 300,000,000 people. :p

How come the poll assumes that we hate what we don't love, and vice-versa?

A&W root beer requires a scoop of vanilla ice cream to be added to a frosty mug full of the root beer. Root beer floats are a great evening treat.

To be fair, A&W is just an average root beer. There are premium brands that have better flavor and don't taste so artificial.

Barq'sBarq's is the only RB with caffeine, I don't know why Coca Cola finds it necessary to add caffeine to their RB. I hear they do provide a caffeine free version in Utah.

Dr. Pepper has caffeine. Here's some interesting trivia from Wiki:

The drink was first sold in Waco, Texas, in 1885. It was introduced nationally in the United States at the 1904 Louisiana Purchase Exposition as a new kind of cola, made with 23 flavors. The exact date of Dr Pepper's conception is unknown, but the U.S. Patent Office recognizes December 1, 1885 as the first time Dr Pepper was served. It then became the first carbonated soft drink (Coca-Cola came a year later).

My thoughts exactly.

It's a shame that many people don't have easy access to such premium brands. Poor hugo thinks it's dried prune juice! Hugo, you know that "real" RB is brewed, not unlike beer. Just like beer, a good RB has a thick, creamy head at the top of the glass.

I'm a fan of Henry Weinhard's micro-brewed RB. Wish I could try some Virgil's (http://www.virgils.com/index.html), though...
