Goodbye all.
I've had a nice time getting to know most of you, but I'm moving on.

The things I like the most about the fora are the smart and witty back-and-forths, camaraderie, the game threads, and, of course, the unicycling.

The things I don't like are the heavy doses of Fundamentalist Christianity and other blindly self-righteous postings.

The reason I'm leaving: just moving on, I suppose. I've got a lot of good things happening in my life and they're taking priority.

I'll check my PMs next week sometime to say 'bye individually to you all. Some of you folks closer to me have my email address and we can keep in touch, of course.

Thanks, for the good times, and thanks, Gilby, for the fora.

I'll be sorry to see you go, as will many others.
When I joined the community, you and Bear's exploits drew me in and I enjoyed them enormously.

Take care,
Blue.

Did you read the user agreement here? This place is like the Hotel California. We are programmed to receive. You can checkout any time you like, but you can never leave!

We'll leave the light on so you can find your way back to us.

I stopped riding on a couple of occassion over the last 25 years.

Believe me you'll be back!

I don't get it, sure... bye and everything but...

Isn't this just one of those attention seeking threads?

Yes.

Nothing wrong with that, though. Some people deserve the attention - Blake is one of those people. She's friendly, funny, helpful, courteous, etc.

No, not at all.

Sorry to see you go.

EDIT: Haha, our posts contradict eachother. I say its not an attention thread because Blake is more respected on here then the normal user, and I think its a nice thing to announce her leaving, just so we all know whats up, and dont have to worry.

Aww, see you around, Blake. If you think of it, come around sometime every once in a while. :)

Where do you live now?

Any chance you'll ride LBI?

I'll miss you! The soil on my shoulder misses you. You were my doctor.

Oh, nice. Once again I find you sweet-talking other women. I could have used a little "soil on my shoulder misses you" this past Valentine's Day, but I get nothing after years of marriage. Instead of taking me out to dinner, you're off posing for postcards, destroying airforce bases, and posting even more than your usual share of JC gobbledygook. If I wasn't rooted to you, I'd be looking for another mountain to grace.

Podzol is a big girl. She can make her own decisions about which forums to inhabit, and she's made a smart one. You keep away from her.

its one of those things were you spot a problem, but don't say anything as you yourself, don't have a better idea. (or do you?)

The thing is that Unicyclist.com has a great variety of topics to choose from. Just like I'm sure you don't like everthing on TV, or every article in your local newspaper, or everything on the radio.

So why not just choose what it is you are intrested in and read those threads, and simply don't read, watch or listen to those topics or opinions that may make you feel uncomfortable.

In short, don't throw the baby out with the bath water!:)
