Who reads threads before posting?
And if you've been away for a few days, and see an interesting title with 3 or more pages on it already, how much do you read before posting?
Who engages their brain before starting threads? Or posting? Is it a good idea?
Who thinks smilies will solve our international diplomacy problems?

One could start a war, but the other is unlikely to.

Hi there,
Yep, I am afraid to say that on most forums I do read all existing threads before posting my own.
If I have been on holiday for a few days, I will spend hours catching up! I am that sad!
Hope this helps!
Many thanks

Personally, I think abortion is wrong, but I still don't think the government should legislate it.

I read the entire thread before posting. Otherwise, I'm likely to repeat something, say something off-topic/out of context, or generally just look like a moron.
Plus, I get a lot more out of the thread when I read it. After all, isn't that the point? The point should be to learn from other's views, not just force your own on someone else via posts.

I usualy read the first post completely, then the first couple replys, then I will either post my own reply and subsiquently read all the other replies, or if I don't think the first post warranted my opinion, but I am still interested, I will read other replies.
I get really annoyed when I can really obviously tell that people responding did not read the original post properly, and are replying with things I told them not to reply with in the original post.
O and smilies, are useful but are often misused.

Who reads threads before posting? - I find the descriptive subject lines are enough for me to make a comprehensive post.
And if you've been away for a few days, and see an interesting title with 3 or more pages on it already, how much do you read before posting? - If the tread is already that active, it probably doesn't need any more help to keep the momentum going.
Who engages their brain before starting threads? Or posting? Is it a good idea? - Ask me again after my coffee kicks in.
Who thinks smilies will solve our international diplomacy problems? - Smilies should be banned. Smilies are a weapon of mass destruction. When posting just say what you mean, don't mean what you say.

I really didn't think that this sequel had the depth of the original movie. I rode to the movie on 6" cranks. "wears ur uther pepsi????"

I try to read the whole thing, but if there are 3+ pages, I usually don't. I just ctrl+F the thing i would probably post, and if it isn't yet there, I post it. And, smileys rock:rolleyes:

If its a long thread i sometimes search the thread for some key words in my post, so i dont repeat what has already been said.

If I like the first post, I will read the whole thread, and possibly reply.
If I don't like the first post, I just leave.

Are we debating christianity in this thread yet?You obviously didn't read every post. On the other hand, I wonder if we are debating Christianity in this thread yet.
Many threads get three pages of posts in the first day. Sometimes it's hard to keep up. I do read every post before posting, but sometimes I read 'em fast.
If I see Billy posting, I read every word. Out loud. It's more like poetry that way.

The sun is out, the sky is blue, it's beautiful, and so are you!
That's a pretty fine Beatles line. What if Paul's mother had an abortion? How many monkeys on keyboards would it take before that line was ever created. And who would read the thread?
(despite how that sounds, I believe abortion must remain an option.)

Many (but not all) forum threads are like melons: given enough time they become bloated and then either explode or slump into a decayed puddle.

Did I read all of this thread? Yes.

Good thing this isnt one of those threads. He was just giving a brief lesson in grammar.
Oh, I usually read all other threads too, even when they have tons of pages. They are very interesting.
