I bumped into Michel Arrets (one of the riders on the above trip) last month.
From memory, this is what he told me:

They used standard DM 28" unis with standard DM contour saddles [some testament
to the comfort of that saddle]. Michel assesses that it should be possible to do
the same route around three days quicker as they were a bit disorganised
(camping and they lost the support vehicle at one point).

Maybe I will try to mount another attempt as advance publicity for UNICON
VIII. Julian, are you volunteering to take part????

In the 1993 Guinness Book of World Records, it claims that 2 men unicycled 1450
km (across UK?) in 14 days, 12 hours and some minutes.

Does anyone on the list have any more details about this trip? I have been
arguing with a friend about endurance riding on a unicycle, and we would like to
know how many hours a day they rode, what their crusing speed was and what sort
of unicycle they used.

If anyone else has also done some long trips on a unicycle, we would appreciate
their input too.
