Slept in the car last night because I was too ill to share indoor camping accommodation with the other people at the event I was attending. This morning I was teaching Morris dancing to a small group of people at an instructional, organised my the Morris Ring, and hosted by my own team. Escaped from there as soon as I decently could, and came hme, had a bath, then flopped. Then I wasted time in this forum for a bit. Planning an early night, and hoping to feel better tomorrow.:(

Woke up at 4:30 a.m. to deliver bundles of newspapers to drop points throughout the county in sub-zero temperatures, made it back in time for church, came home from church to eat lunch and then hopped back on the studying and homework. I put in about 7 hours at the desk yesterday and today looks to be about the same...with periodic breaks to visit my favorite forum, that is. I may put it away later on this evening to watch a movie on TV with Mary.

I had a lazy morning. then went to pick up my 2 daughters and my daughter's husband and brought them home to eat a fantastic Sunday dinner cooked by my hubby. Played on the Wii with them. Took them home and went to Karate. then scanned some of my old photos onto the laptop.

I had to get up and then come into work on a sunday since I missed on wednesday to get training for my new job on Big Brother. So now I'm sitting here in the office by myself watching footage. It's my last day so I could totally bail, but I owe them a day since I already got a check for this week.

smashed my thermometer because of the mercury freezing, then reviled in the fact that we are having a huge temperature swing today and went unicycling in a t-shirt

if anyone is wondering mercury freezes at -40 degrees
farenheit or centegrade?

I went to my usual indoor parking garage to practice riding my 24". I only did about 45 minutes before my legs gave out! It was a great practice though. A few cars went by and the drivers gave me strange looks! I guess I can ride well enough now and it doesn't look like I'm a total beginner (to non-uni people) so they probably can't figure out why I'm riding back and forth in a garage! When I was going there as a total newbie, it was obvious I was trying to learn. Now I guess I look like a guy riding a uni, going nowhere, on the dark, third basement level of a garage. Next time someone looks at me funny, I'll say that I like the ambiance down here! Or suggest some good lines I can use....funny, nothing nasty!

Managed to do a full backup of my PC hard drive onto a DLT tape.

Yesterday my housemate give me his old mobile phone, and today I have been experimenting with that and a bluetooth USB dongle to copy stuff back and forth between the phone and the PC.

Also got my satnav to connect to the phone so it can use it as a modem. Apparently it can now tell me what the weather is going to do at any spot in the UK...

Had some rare free time this morning so, despite the rain, went for a walk along the river Tame. Seven or eight miles by the time I returned home. I would have unicycled at least part of it had it been dry. It was far too muddy and slimy for me. But very quiet and peaceful, apart from a few dog owners. I guess everyone was in church ;-)

Saw a couple of male goosanders (uncommon black/white birds) which were swimming downstream along the far bank in very heavy flood water. Not quick enough with the camera though. I had been keeping it inside my coat to keep it dry. But as compensation I did get a long distance photo of six of them a few days ago on a nearby pond. 2 males, 4 females.

Later there were a couple of moorhens and a grey squirrel, wandering around on a raft of rubbish that was circling in an eddy. Very brave of the squirrel I thought. They do not like water. Had it fallen in, it would have drowned in the turbulence below the weir a short distance downstream.

Otherwise a fairly uneventful, damp, grey morning. Not too cold. Spent the afternoon drying out, and was then called out to a server problem. It really is time they employed someone to deal with the servers. I have my own job to do, and although looking after this hardware is a very profitable sideline for me, I am starting to miss the free time.

Tell them you're looking for the other 75 percent of your car.

Or ask them to call the police if they see anyone driving around in a 3 wheeled car.

I went and saw cloverfield with some peeps, then chilaxed at my place with them, helped my friend build his new uni, played some guitar hero and halo on my friends xbox 360. Then I set up a camera and tried out some filming in my basement with the triton! Now I ordered pizza and I'm listening to dirty indie musicians.

I joined Adam Brody and his OC uni club today for a fun ride at Dana Point harbor. I was a bit subdued today for some reason, so I didn't do anything too extreme, except drop off a 5' offshore rock formation, which is mostly covered during high tide, but was totally exposed when we were there during low tide.

The whole group was in attendance and they are all riding better each time I see them! We were also joined by new rider Will, who brought his 26er.

Here's just a few of the group ready to push on with our ride after stopping for pizza! Group leader Adam is flashing the peace sign!:D

Then home to finish work on some piano stuff in my shop. Long day, but a fun one!

That Deano kid has British teeth!

Today I slept in and went to get lunch with 4 friends, I managed to finish off an 18 oz. burger (3 patties). Probably gonna spend a while letting that digest while I game it up with some UT and GoW2.

It was a great time and when I get some time I will see what I can post a picture or two. The video is not the greatest because my gf kinda filmed it all from above so most of it looks pretty much flat. I will be scouting out some places to make a two day event though.
