ditto. works well for me.

a couple of years ago i designed a "spoke bag" for my uni. i never built it, but
it was simple enough. it was a slightly curved wallet with velcro fasteners that
attached to the spokes. then you can keep some money, a bank card, keys etc., in
a little bag that goes round and round under you. make it reflective for added
safety. there's plenty of room in there for a little bundle. even if it tends to
slip a little, centrifugal pressure keeps it in place when you're riding.

Another idea for carrying things is to use a cycling jersey, which has pockets
in back. This is very convenient for stowing stuff in an out of the way place.
The disadvantage is that it may be in some obscenely grotesque color - but you
could always make your own.
