Geez, I read through as many posts and I could take and didn't find anyone that could answer your question who actually has served in any branch of the military. I'm not familiar with the Navy cause I was Army. I had Rangers and Special Forces trainers under certain occasions in special schools and such and they as well as SEALS are "born" as well as made. Like a earlier post stated, it takes being part of the lucky gene club. To become an elite member of any branch you need to be mechanically sound.. No bad feet, no bad anything. Strong, huge endurance, and a mental toughness well beyond the realm of normal humans.

You're 15 so start running, start swimming, don't smoke, don't drink, don't do drugs. Lift weights, join a Dojo whether its Tia kwan do, Judo, whatever. Get used to beating on people, and getting beaten on. Too bad Krav Maga isn't taught in many places cause it's the best street fighting defense/offense style period..

Remember, your recruiter will lie to you. Mine told me if I like taking walks in the woods, I'll love the Army. If you don't love to swim.. If swimming and being in the water isn't a huge factor in your choice of service, then consider the Rangers which is the step before Special Forces and Path Finder. Because you ride a unicycle I suspect you shouldn't join the Marines.

You have several years to decide. Don't get too tight with any recruiter at this point. Talk to different branches to see where you want to wind up. The movies and TV don't always reflect reality!!!Spend this time getting stronger, faster, and training in a fighting style. Do well in school so going on to college, OCS, an Academy will be an option.. Being Enlisted is cool but I was making half as much as a lower grade commissioned officer. Money counts.

If you want, send me a private message with any specific questions you may have. I've been a lot of places, done a lot of things unlike even the right wing members of this crowd that let others do all their fighting for them. Anyway, I'm including a picture of a patch I'm really proud of. I was always a PT monster and in the Army at least, if you max out on a APFT and can maintain a 270 on every subsequent test, ya get one of these bad boys.

Somehow that just seems so desperately right.
