View Full Version : Anyone heard of Moola.com yet?

So basically the last couple months I've wasted a lot of time on the website moola.com. Essentially, they give you a penny, you watch ads and play games against other people to win their penny. When you have more money, you can play against people with more money. If you were to win 30 games in a row, you'd have over $10 million. I've won and received my checks in the mail for over $100, so it is legit. Anyways, do a search if you're interested, and you can get an invite by clicking here: INVITE (http://www.moola.com:80/moopubs/b2b/exc/join.jsp?sid=4d5449744e546b794d54493d-2)
Unfortunately its only for Canadian and American people for now. Try it out, its fun. Different betting patterns can get you up pretty quickly.

Sounds pretty cool but there has to be a catch. What gives, or is all you really have to do is watch ads?
tugboat
2007-11-07, 03:40 AM
No lie, no catch. I've been using it. It's genius really. As long as moola is only giving away a penny when someone loses ALL of their money, then they don't have to spend any money. Let's say the ad company pays 1 cent for every ad watched, there are still more ads watched than pennies given away. Then there are the boosters and all of that stuff added in, but even still. I promise. No credit card information, nothing. Just verify your account with your cell phone. It's totally legit, I promise. They don't sell your number or email address or anything. You all have Kevin McMullin's word. And the word is "deadly".

...because Kevin gets a cut of everyone's cash. Moola.com runs quite like a pyramid scheme (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pyramid_scheme), but in using percentages, it is a sustainable model instead.
All this site does is help grease the wheels on the great advertising machine. Before you know it, you'll have to watch commercials in the middle of your DVD movies and before you start a game on your XBox or PS. Keep up the great work!

I disagree.
It's true that the advertisements/sponsors are where the money is coming from. The companies pay Moola, and then the owners of the website keep most of the money, but individuals like you and I get one penny each. Then we gamble those pennies and get more money.
So yes it's run by corporations and advertising, of course it is, but I don't see how that is going to make advertisements more popular in other places.

No there isn't. There is a minimum of a $10 cash-out. Meaning you can't cash out until you get to $10. You get 2 free checks per month, and after than they are $2.50 each, but that comes off of the money you cashed. So you don't pay anything ever, any money you get is completely into an originally empty pocket. But obviously when you cash out $10, it will take $10 out of your account. That would be ridiculous otherwise.

Not if you play on a level that doesn't risk the exact amount of your balance. I find this game interesting, because it is the only gambling type game where the odds are perfect. If you can manage more than a 50% win rate, you should theoretically always make it up the ladder with the proper betting pattern. I manage about a 57% win rate with the Hi/Lo game. What games are you all playing?

Most likely they are getting your e-mail address and cell phone number for future use. With the DO NOT CALL list out there today businesses/marketing co. cant call you unless you have done bus. with, or contacted them or an affiliate of them and with this you have just done the above so now all those adds can contact you in any way and be within the law

Wow what an impressive site for what it is. They make cake off the ads, they attract new users by giving current users a monetary incentive to invite friends. They keep everyone coming back because the chance to win all that money is so enticing. This site should be on that show "good idea" or whatever it's called. It makes you wonder, why didn't i think of that!
It's fun but in a way I feel like such a monkey-making all this money for the website while im battling it out for .16 cents. Oh well it's still fun

I guess I never got to that point where they asked for my cell phone. The internet advertising business is a billion dollar industry now-just look at myspace and facebook. They would have too much to lose by giving that information out; it would just decrease their users and lower their revenue along with giving them a bad name. That’s just my guess though...

Play low amounts and make the reasonable bet and your doing good. My game of choice is hi/lo. Some simple card counting skills will help, you don't have to be a pro or anything. Remember making the reasonable bet you may loose a little, but will win in the long run.
