View Full Version : Riding a saddle made out of a live mammal call out.

You read it right, it's a call out for videos of those riding a saddle made out of a live mammal. My video is ready but it's too painful for me to watch right now. I made my trials saddle out of a live cat and made the unfortunate mistake of attaching it legs side up. My thighs are pretty badly raked so it will take me a while to work up the courage to upload this unicycling gem. The cat didn't fair too well either. I think a cat is only good for one ride based on my personal experience. That's OK, there's an abundance of cats.

I prefer badgers. To truly appreciate the hunt and saddle manufacturing process I need a challenge that cats cannot provide.

Cat's make better Coker air saddles than trials saddles. You just gotta inflate the cat first.

I agree with John, and Squirrels are best for trials or street...they're smaller and so easier to do SIF tricks with.

You're a pretty little girl, Greg. Watch those thighs, you may need them someday.

Easily the best live animal saddle you can find IMHO. The durability is excellent, and as long as you remember to close the front handle before you grab it, finger longevity is excellent as well.

Many complain about the weight, and the misconception that this may result in the uni sinking from sight if you should slip off a log while crossing a stream. This is wholly due to rider inexperience with alligator saddles. In fact, one has only to step back and take a short break. Usually by the time I have had a few sips, the uni will resurface, swim to shore and climb up onto the bank all by itself, a real convenient feature that is worth a few extra grams

You have to be a total idiot. Everyone knows that alligators are fish, not mammals. This specifically asks for saddles made from live mammals. However, your response is still the best and I'm being too picky by keeping the field so narrow. I will later post a poll to determine if alligators and other fish like whales will be allowed.

I use kangaroo for my trials saddle now but unfortunately my camera is broken. It has increased my hop height by a great deal.

I bet the kangaroo saddle helps get higher hops.

It is a dinosaur. There was a lot of confusion as a result of the Jews flooding the market with cheap imported animals 5000 years ago. Many people thought that the dinosaurs went bankrupt. Actually, alligators, snakes and turtles are all dinosaurs, the most trusted name in durable animals since mud. Fish are actually Christians.

not just cats but more the delicate kittens. Yes you only get one ride before they need to be replaced but they have that much gentler fluffy kitten fur. Plus a bit more light weight than the full scale cat model.

I had to look up whether earthworms were mammals. Duh. I forgot that mammals are vertebrates, meaning they have a backbone or spinal column. Although earthworms are tasty part of the Animal kingdom, they are obviously not mammals -- but hey, I've been out of school longer than most people on these forums have been alive.

Still, I think about 500 earthworms would make a cushy seat. I don't know how you would train them to coalesce under your butt.

Use one really long earthworm to tie the rest of them together.

Mammals are nice and warm in the winter. When it gets hotter a rolled up snake in a fusion cover works best.

I like ostriches, personally. They're warm and fuzzy, have an adjustable handle and deliver swift kicks to the face of anyone who inquires about that other wheel.

Ostriches have spleens, so they are mammals, right?

I'm pretty sure they are cotterless actually.

People, get your saddle covers right. The thread title clearly states a live mammal. Mammals have mammae. Any boob knows that.

I'm currently field testing a MUni saddle utilizing a small Basset Hound. I'm thinking it will help find the rest of the MUniers when I fall behind. For Coker use a small pink poodle. Their constant barking alerts the pedestrians.

Well, whatever mammal it was - is no longer alive anymore.
Does that still count?

BTW. did you know that armadillos are born already dead on the side of the highway?

I use a baby donkey. That way when I'm too tired to ride up a hill, I just get off my ass and walk.

But Dave, my friend, you just have to stop taking those "shortcuts" of yours. Then you'll have lots of energy. :)

something about rabbit size works well for me. With something of that size you can easily detach the saddle and use it as a trendy, live merkin for when you've arrived at your destination and need to wow the ladies.

And also the ears work well as handles.

Or the tail, depending on which way round you prefer.

Be careful that those long floppy ears don't get caught in the spokes.

as every frenchman will tell you frogs, or more specifically toads, are marvelously squishy -much much better than artifical gel saddles-
In know, I know, Harper you are going to object that frogs are not mammals!
Well well .... mammals ... gel saddle .. hey wait a minute   :D
