The gallery has a facility to view the latest comments on every picture, and if you take a look (http://www.unicyclist.com/index.php?page=gallery&g2_view=comment.ShowAllComments&g2_itemId=7) it seems to be absolutely flooded with link spam, which is still being added to daily. The genuine comments don't seem to start until about page 230 (two hundred and thirty).
The most prominent victim is this good picture (http://www.unicyclist.com/index.php?page=gallery&g2_itemId=189671) which at the time of this posting has 530 (five hundred and thirty) link spams, but I suspect there are several other pictures here and there.
As far as I know in Gallery2 it may be possible to restrict permissions on commenting to "Registered Users", thus only those with a valid login can leave comments.
