Back in 1980, Jack Halpern traveled around the world promoting unicycling! Due
to his pioneering and continuing promotional efforts and the efforts of others,
the International Unicycling Federation was founded in 1982. With the help of
Jean Paul Jenack and particularly Meryl Shaefer, the IUF became officially
incorporated in 1985.
I propose that another Round the World Unicycling Promotional Tour be planned.
Only this time it would involve a group of unicyclists. It could even be an IUF
sanctioned event (actually series of events). We would tour (fly between events)
through countries with very strong unicycling organizations such as Japan, to
countries without native unicyclists (if there really are such countries).
The tour could last perhaps four to six weeks (five to seven weekends).
Unicyclists could choose to go on the complete tours or any parts of it they
want. National or international (one of them could even be a UNICON) conventions
and competitions would be held lasting 2-3 days concluding on a Sunday at
various locations around the globe. Other group unicycling activities and
perhaps flying days would be scheduled between the weekends. Press and media
would be invited with ample notice to every event. If we're lucky, the media
would soon take note, and be following our group around the world!
We could try to schedule as many current national unicycling conventions into
the tour, add one or two IUF international unicycling conventions or do all the
conventions up from scratch.

P.S. Maybe we could put together a chain of unicyclists around the world? Well,
maybe we could get a lot of unicyclists up on their wheels holding hands
at a predetermined time, all around the world!
