I was searching for "fixed gear bike" and found this. A wide range of unicycle skills... all on two wheels.

I must say: That was pretty darn amazing. That wheelie, with no hands, and one foot BACKWARDS. I can't imagine how she did it!

Well alot of it is just like riding a unicycle, especially the wheelies

Yes, cus' the axel is fixed. It would be cool to fix the axle on my bike and try some of this stuff!

Well alot of it is just like riding a unicycle, especially the wheeliesNot really. An artistic bike rides totally differently. Mostly I think it has to do with all that extra mass where you don't want it. Beyond that it's probably the cramped legs and lack of "saddle" support in most positions.

She's really good, but she's not even up at championship level, I don't think. There are harder variations of many of her tricks on the list!

{Yes, list. Unicycling's Standard Skill event is a direct descendant of artistic bicycling. Every move she did is on the list, with a specific point value if done perfectly. She's not allowed to make up her own tricks in a competition.}

Do ya think i'm world class?!:pNot for the world of unicycling. :(

We wouldn't call it coasting if you're using a brake (then we call it gliding). One handed? No handed? We don't even have handlebars! Etc.

But those are pretty sweet wheelie moves for a two-wheeler.

Well there seems to be a bit of controversy about that (manual/coast/glide(in terms of bicycling)), but ok.

Then why is she in the national team of... Germany?
Maybe to become:
- German Champion in 1993, 1995, 1997, 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2003
- European champion in 1995, 1996 and 1997
- Worldchampion in 2000, 2001 und 2003 (plus 2nd in 2002, and 3th in 1998 und 1999)
???

Yes; the woman in the video is Astrid Ruckaberle (http://www.asti-akrobatik.de/).
Last year I've asked her to do an interview with me (a day before last unicon).

She's really good, but she's not even up at championship level, I don't think. There are harder variations of many of her tricks on the list!
Just lik the higest scoring standard skill in unicycling still never is performed in competition.
Does that mean there's no unicyclist of championship level?

You mean the search button would have told him this video was posted in RSU (http://www.unicyclist.com/forums/showthread.php?t=50956) more than a year ago?

I didn't mind the repeat. Last week I've captured all my VHS tapes to my computers HDD. I'll upload a couple of others real good runs of men.

Then why is she in the national team of... Germany? My bad, I must have been thinking of the figures the men did. Last time I got to watch a championship was 1986 BTW, so I assumed the state of the art could only improve. And I'm sure it has...
