Hi guys, I have a request for this picture:
http://img401.imageshack.us/img401/1443/n510029981103356636ay3.jpg
I'd like first of all for the background to be removed, and put a solid black background on in its place. Then I'd like the rest to be vectorized - there are a few different color combos I'd like to try, but for now, just white for our hair, skin, shirt, and legs, and gold for our capes, boxers, and shoes.
And for the gold, I'd like it to be the shade that's already on the boxers currently, just, you know, vectorized.
Thank you! This will be much appreciated.

How the hell do you do that! I got the new Photoshop from my friend and there is just waaaaay tooo much stuff to learn by myself. At first I was like "Hell yeah photoshop....I'll be pro at it in like a week." Now its been almost 2 months and the only thing I know how to do is well....pretty much nothing.

Onelesscar: Thanks, those both look very good!!! Could you keep the file saved for that, I'll need to talk to my friends and see if they like that color scheme. If not, you could easily go back and just switch some colors around.
And we want the black background cause it's gonna go on a shirt. Thanks so much bro, looks awesome!

Okay, so I'm gonna ask again, cause I was an idiot and forgot to save part of it. I gotta redo part of it, but it'd be easier if you have a higher res version...
Do you?

How the hell do you do that!Read and experiment. I tend to read too much and experiment too little. There are tons of free resources online, and books, some of which are pretty inexpensive. Old versions of Photoshop books will teach you a ton and you might be able to find them used or for free.
If you really want to get into learning Photoshop, consider joining NAPP (http://www.photoshopuser.com/) or attending one of their events. I'm going to this one (http://www.photoshopworld.com/). First I attended a one-day seminar, which I found very useful. I think the investment will be worth it.

Matt, that’s really damn cool. I would like to see it with the colors matching the actual uniform (black shirts and tights) but with a gold outline-if that’s not possible I really like what we have but I’d like to see an outlined version. On second thought that would make our heads look weird as the only white parts so either color our heads black too or leave it
Do you think you could try this, onelesscar? Make our t-shirts/legs black (but leave our arms white), and then outline them with a thin gold line?

I got Joe's email and I honestly don't think that'll look as good as he thinks it will. I'll see what onelesscar can cook up, but I'm set with what he's already done.

I have something that needs to be done as well, but I have no clue how to do it myself. I started with a sketch on paper, then scanned it and tried to finish it with Paint, but it became quite tedious. I would like the whole image to first be square, so just add in black on the sides. Then I would like to somehow implement the periodic table in the background, like this one:
http://www.jergym.hiedu.cz/~canovm/vyhledav/varianty/litva.gif
but I want it inverted, so white text on black. The fun part will be to change the color of some of the numbers and letters to illuminate "12 Cent Dwarf". I don't want the whole periodic table in there, but close to the correct order would be great. The letters also don't have to be next to eachother, but I would like it to be read from top to bottom, left to right, even reading across from the drawing.
The numbers and letters could be a different color, bolded a little, then maybe add some glow/soft focus feature on the text so it stands out a little more.
This is for a CD album cover, so if there's also a way to increase the resolution without having it become too "pixelated," that would be great!
Oh, and maybe soften up the edges a little, so it doesn't look like it was done with paint. get rid of the white box, and maybe add coloring to the legs, hands and neck. I guess the shoes could be a different color too, maybe a green color to match his shirt. Sorry, I guess it's kind of a lot to ask for, nobody really has to do it, unless they're really bored.

Haha, it is kind of difficult to ask over a forum. Please ask me any questions though. Even if you just did the coloring and re-sizing, that would be awesome. :o

Okay, dude & monkey. Like I said, I forgot to save some of it, so I retraced the shoes, and included the shoelaces this time (I left them out last time). If you don't want them in, I can take them out.
Tell me if you want to change anything else.

Okay, I just re-read your post and realized I misread. I think what he meant was this. Anyway, the point is, I can do any combination of colors, outline, filled in, etc., now that I have it all traced.

Well, I'm not sure how exactly you want this, Blegas, but if you can explain it well enough, I can do it. This is the first draft. Tell me if I'm on the right track.
I sized it up (it's over twice the size shown below), it's square, I cleaned up the colors and lines, etc.

Thanks so much for doing this!
Ok, when you make it square, could you center the drawing?
Also, I want the letters to be much bigger. I don't want the whole periodic table in there, I just want it to look like a section of the periodic table in the background. You would have to cut and paste the different elements and put them close together so that "12 Cent Dwarf" is a little more readable.
Oh, and have some letters in the bottom left of the picture

Ok, getting much closer, but I would like to have the letters in both the top right and the bottom left. So maybe "12 Cent" could be in the top right and "dwarf" could be in the bottom left.
Thanks again! :D
Oh, and have the elements continue off the edge of the page on the right and left, so it looks like it's zoomed in on a section of the periodic table.

Onelesscar: My friends are requesting a slight variation to the above quoted image that you produced for us. We also have a white version of the shirt that we're making, so what we'd like you to do is simply take that quoted picture, make the background white, and make a black outline around the white portions of the original image. All the other colors should stay the same.
Thanks!
