Well, the piano tuning biz has been a tad slow, but that's typical during the summer. But I still had a pretty good day today! I started out by meeting a reporter for the "Beach Reporter", a local paper in the South Bay that has pretty decent circulation.

They shot some action pics of me jumping off stuff, and got some shots of me riding my 36er also, then she asked me a bunch of questions and I also gave her some quotes and so it should be a good write-up--it comes out next Thursday.

Then I did a fun Muni ride followed by a 17 mile coker ride along the beach bike path, where I was joined by two friends on contraptions called "bicycles!" Then stopped on the way back home at "pick up styx" for a nice chicken & rice dinner! Then got a call on the cell just before getting home; it was somebody wanting to buy the used piano I have for sale! Good day all around.

Most people wouldn't consider this a good day, but I do:

-GOT MY FFXI ACCOUNT REACTIVATED WOOOO
-To go with that, found out my old character form last year was still intact =D
-Oh and got this freaking awesome 7-disc FFXI soundtrack downloaded, cause Nobuo Uematsu is a friggin genius.
-Found tons of extremely helpful tutorials for the BGE, including a couple that involve Python
-Bought a nifty wireless mouse
-Bought a PC game controller for FFXI, flawless control =D

One of my better nerd-days in a while.

I had an okay day at work, and then in the evening I went downtown with some friends and rode around on my uni. We went to a bar and played pool for a while and I rode my uni throught the mall:D .

and we found a few train cars stopped on the tracks so i climbed up and rode my uni around. It was fun cuz they are like 15 feet high. I was going to jump over to the other train but it was so dark that I didn't because i could barely see.

And this is the first time i have riden around downtown and not gotten kicked out of anywhere for riding or having my uni:)

It was a pretty good day

FFXI - Final Fantasy Eleven, my favorite MMORPG.

BGE - Blender Game Engine, basically how one can use the program Blender 3D to make games. I made a real basic one the other day, but I was proud of myself anyway. :D

Well, seeing as this thread has been much more successful than my "bad day" thread, I guess I'll post something.

I've been having a good day every day for the past month. There have been certain hours where I've felt like nothing seemed to be going my way, but then everything looks up.

Today I heard from the insurance company that, taking the current post-accident value of the car into consideration, they are willing to give me an option to either
a) take a $2600 check and find a new, used car
b) have the car fixed for $2400

Even though the prospect of picking out a "new" car is quite alluring, I'm leaning more towards option 'b'. The car runs fine, has less than 90k miles, we know the vehicle's history and previous owners personally, and it gets good gas mileage.

I have until Monday to make up my mind.

I found out today that I will be starting my new job at Office Depot on Sunday.

I had a great time bowling tonight.

I have plans to go snorkeling again tomorrow, providing weather and transportation allows for it. Can you believe that one of my girl friends grew up here and has never once been snorkeling?!

...She just learned how to ride a bike earlier this week, too.
...She's also never flown a kite...
 :D

Woke up this morning and realised I'm not 22 anymore and that three nights of good fun, good drinking, good friends and not nearly enough sleep will catch up on you and eventually leave you with a stonker of a hangover.
Inspired by this fine quote:
I feel sorry for people who don't drink. When they wake up in the morning, that's as good as they're going to feel all day. -- Dean Martin, I realised the day would only get better.
And how much better?
MUCH!

The English Premier League starts again today, after an off-season of 82 days.
Eish! That was a very long 82 days.

Liverpool will kick off their campaign away at Aston Villa.

Can't wait!

But for right now, shhhh...

I've been having a good day every day for the past month.

me too. 7 months ago my wife got pregnant, so we‘ve been quite busy putting everything together for this great moment. Along with that I‘m going for a bike/motorcycle/cars event for presenting a feel trials with a couple friends, so we‘ve been practicing a lot for the past days.

And tonight I‘m performing at a sweet sixteen party - in brasil it‘s actually a sweet fifteen party - which will provide some extra money.

And that‘s it. Having fun and making some money.

I'm having a good day today. Jim's making a curry. It smells gorgeous and I'm starving because I've just been out for a fantastic unicycle in the hills. Fab scenery, quiet roads and a great work-out.

This morning was a quiet, lazy morning playing 'magic shows' with my son. After some practice we did the show for Jim. One thing is for sure, I'm no magician. :D

Yesterday was a good day too. I didn't have to drive 40 miles to work as I was working from home. I was also looking after my son, who played nicely with his friends so that I was actually able to do some work so I didn't feel guilty about spending work time babysitting.

I took delivery of some new clubs and had time to play with them. In the evening I went to Karate.

The day before was a good day too, and the day before that, and ...etc.

Ok, I and two friends were riding into town, when one rough looking lad standing in a driveway pushed me sideways hard, into the road, off my unicycle. I re mounted, rode along and became the subject of a pursuit. One of my friends was also pushed off, punched in the ribs and then slapped round the face after being goaded into the road. Me and jack rode away whilst mark stayed at the back contented, with two of these boys (16-17 yrs old) kicking his unicycle and trying to grab it off him. Mark got away and we rode briskly further towards town, when one began to shout ''OI'' (at me I believe) about four times, before he ran up behind me, bear hugged me from behind dragging me to the floor along with my unicycle. He then went back to his mates to get his street cred.

We think they were stoned and/or drunk, but they were not safe...

I got a chance to meet Jake, Naomi, Zeke, Jerry & Nancy. That was very cool.

Then some dude with biceps bigger than my head tried to take my parking spot at the beach. Fortunately, I was loud enough and angry enough to scare him away after a couple of exchanges. Good thing this guy didn't get out of his car, because he probably would have exposed my organs to the the daylight. Big Samoan guy. I mean big.

Then two girls from USC fell into my arms at the beach while trying to ride my KH20. Too bad they go to SC otherwise I might have asked either of them out.

A bit of career advice.

Never be irreplaceable.
If you can't be replaced, you can't be promoted.

Besides, nothing says 'team player' like teaching someone else how to do your job.

Just got back from a week fishihing off the north end of Admiralty Island out from Juno Alaska. Fishing was fantastic, catching was not so good but with the scenery and weather we had it was absolutely incredible. Caught a couple of small halibut and 8 black cod as well as some "spots" which are probably the best shrimp in the world.
Hard to unicycle on a fishing boat.

Well, goodness, what an uplifting thread for a change!

This week was great. I finally got rid of the wretched pellet stove in exchange for an Avalon Olympic wood stove. I bought a bunch of big rocks and made a stone hearth. Pictures of the actual thing later, it's pretty cool with some Blake-made tiles and all.

I also finished my bathroom remodel. The house had two bathrooms that made any pit toilet look like a Red-roof inn. It was terrible. It took a month and a half, but I gutted one, even had to reframe the thing, raised the ceiling sloped with the roof, put in tile and a tile surround for the clawfoot tub, rebuilt the window with neoclassical fluted moldings and hand-made wavy bubble-glass for privacy. I also added......A SHOWER!!! I took the first shower in my house ever! ;) In it's history!!!! in 120 years, a SHOWER! :D :D :D

So this was a great week for me. Really was.

I decided to leave my practicing spot at 4:00pm. I found later it was a mistake. I began a 30-45min walk to a play ground to film some clips with my new camera as of yesterday. I see 2 black males down the street I know each of them. Here is some history. One is basically a degenerate retard. He has to have "special" classes for his anger and intelligence level. Lets call him man number 1. He just got out of the juvenile facility 3days earlier and is a frequent visitor. When I mentioned his name the cop just sighed and said what the fuck is his problem I just put him in jail. The other is a gullible moron. He can be talked into just about anything given time from hat I have seen. He gets mad grades and acts terrible during class. This will be man number 2. We eventually make our way to each other they began to harass me man one asking if he can take my uni cycle.(which means he is going to take it or something bad will happen) I state I don't want any trouble and began to walk past when he blocks me and says I am going to sock the shit out of you. I try to defuse the situation saying I don't want any trouble and try to go on my way then I am ht in the face. I shake it off and proceed. Man one began to razz man 2 about not hitting me " common hit him are you scarred? You said you would" at this point he runs up to me. First thing he says is about the fight we had 2years ago which I though was cleared up (I said I was sorry and it was over no grudges well yeah...) I say something along the lines of common I said I was sorry and it was way then he proceeds to punch me in the side of the face and exclaim bitch and toss my unicycle to the ground. After this huge boost of confidence for his person he hit me again in the back of the head and man to ran up and hit me in the jaw. I decide to run(No way I can take on 2 angry kids with friends near by probably and I had about 400-500hundred dollars and other things-good they didn't know) and go to a local store where I call my father then the cops. I fill out a report and such. Now I am thinking of moving to my mothers because I am trying to make something o myself and this is the last thing I need. I might move to a luxury apartment owned by my dads boss that would kick ass. Over all I am proud of myself. I kept my composure all the way through this tense high stress situation.

After feeling rather shitty lately I came up with this. Basically tells how my life works and all of that.

A plant on shore line is sometimes smashed down depressed. Other times it sits back and has lovely days in the sun. This all repeats year after year leaving small scars with the flower that will never fully heal, but that doesn't stop it coming back every year for the flower knows with time comes healing and better times are sure to come so no matter the circumstance or how it feels it just hangs in there during the storm waiting for the sun and better days to come. In the end life is a cycle and you are happy if you want just think about everybody else in the world all of a sudden your problems become very small.
