If it's fun, you can bet the cops will put an end to it. And if you are wondering how that cart works ...
* don't read below if you want to know how it works *
It's probably a go kart with a shell on it. If not then its a converted b/c.

Now all the old people are going to come in here to tell us how lucky we are to have cops to protect is. Which is true.

Great picture. I still want to know what's "under the hood" of that thing. Hopefully it moves faster than a real bumper car. Also I love the fact that it still has the "tail" on it, as if it's ready to pick up some juice from the ceiling!

I mainly get kicked out because of insurance issues. Sucks, but its a good reason for companies and places not wanting you to ride on their property.
I dont mind cops though.

well in the US you could probably sue them if a table broke while you were jumping on it and hurt yourself. I mean they probably dont have a sign saying "no unicycling on the tables"
ahahaha - people sue way too much these days. THere should be a law - NO petty suing.

I don't mind them either, cause whenever i ride my unicycle around town. They always ask me if they can try. I gotta admit that they aren't pretty good at it. :D :D

Funny to see it here; it's the most banned website of NL, a small group of people who caused countless urgent debates in the house of reprecentitives. I deny any involvement.
If it's fun, you can bet the cops will put an end to it.
Guess what pictures go around on intranet.politie.nl...
Traffic is not the place to make fun, you (young or old) have risks and so responsibilty to others (stupid or intelligent).
I remember my old teacher, who adjusted a moped-wheelchair to 75 m.p.h...
He ended in a wheelchair.

I'm a former member of the fairground union. For a space-style aireal acrobatic act in a circus I've been looking into bumpercars in Italy. They are 12V DC or 24V DC by default. So most likely it just has one or more (parralel) car- (12V) or truck- (24V) batteries aboard. The servo's are such that they don't consume much for acelleration. And it's certainly not the 1st time I see it done.

definantly, its so redicolous (i no i spelleded that wrong)
pretty much, if I tried to gap a 6 set, fell and broke my arm, my insurance companie or something would try to sue them, and win, even though they had nothing to do with it other than building a nice set of stairs. I mean, how is it in the least bit their fault? It's completely my decision, and my fault that I hurt myself.
blahblahblah blah blah.

It seems like your teacher died well. There are two types of people. Those who are alive and those who live. You teacher was probably the latter. Not everyone alive has lived.
I've seen bumper car shell kits to put on a go kart, and they are amazingly fast. I've also seen some conversions on ebay, and almost bought one. Yes, safety is important, but I think what he did was almost harmless to others.

Not his life ended in a wheelchair (though it almost did), he just ended up in a wheelchair. While before the accident he was not disabled, and didn't need that wheelchair...
Those who are alive and those who live...
...can both be devided in two sub's: those who do and those who don't respect other peoples life's.
Also I've been member of a big stunt-team. If just one person fitting in the latter is in the team, the team cannot function. And that's not even in urban traffic situation.

It's possible. But impossible to tell from such a picture.
Amazingly fast and harmless is an almost impossible combination in urban traffic.

Well when i was preparing to break my coker record, the places i would go to. COPS would tell me to leave which i think was weird. But after a while, they didn't mind. Apparently from what they told me is the places i was riding were just re-concreted and they didn't want me to splash and get stuck in it. Which was fair enough. Ever since i don't judge them for what they do or they are. I mean they wanted to ride my modded coker too and i would always let them. :D

You shouldn't avoid them, after all they're just doing their job really. :D

yeah but i dont really feel like taking their treating us like we are skateboarders (which they deal with too much and are not to happy to see) when we arent. typically security people are just plain rude and since they lack a cops power we are usually dicks back to them or "run away" from them.
actually most cops we have dealt with have been nice to us, as long as we are repectful of them. the one time they were butheads to us we kinda deserved it.
i have had cops drive past and use their loud speaker to tell us to not get hurt. which was cool since we though we were going to kick us off.

there is, its called law suit abuse, its the latest thing here, some lady twisted her ankle(fatbitsh) and sued someone and won like $2000 for a twisted ankle, its her fault for being a fat ass hoe... sorry, but its a big deal here, ppl do it wayy too much.

The cops in my area don't consider me a skateboarder because i tell them the difference between Unicycling and skateboarding and they feel more open to tell me if anything is going on and stuff. Also they always say "hello harry, hows the unicycling going" :D

thats all it is. and people do do it way too much.
people dont want to get sued because we are doing "stupid" stuff that we can get hurt doing. all of us know the risks involved and we know we got hurt because WE messed up and not because we didnt get kicked off.
i have also had a cop (maybe a security) tell us "if anyone asks i told you to leave, OK?". we got to keep riding, they couldnt be sued, life is good.

I have been arrested twice while riding, so I know police can sometimes be a drag. The first time was for reckless driving of a unicycle and resisting arrest. It made the newspaper in Indianapolis. The second time made CNN and the front page of the Austin American Statesman. I got arrested by "bike riding cops" while riding with seven other unicyclist and carrying a prop stage sword! I was jailed for unlawfully carrying a weapon. The Judge thru it out of court after a lot of public outrage. Anyone else actually been jailed?

Thats insane  you got thrown in jail for carrying a FAKE sword. One of my friends was carrying a 5' Claymore while riding his b*ke and he didn't get arrested (they took his 3" dagger though.)
