I use Image Shack...just go to www.imageshack.us and upload them from your computer, then you can put them in the forum using the little icon that looks like mountains with a sun and the direct link to the image from Image Shack.

Base price for a Devil Original is $395 from www.renegadejuggling.com. I upgraded mine though. The Street Cranks were an extra $40. The Pit Fighter Seat Post was an extra $30. The gel saddle was an extra $10. After shipping and all that mine was just under $520.

I ordered a stock devil from renegade about a month ago but there was a delay because the frames would not fit. So somone from renegade called and he let me pick whatever colors i wanted. i chose the white frame because i didnt want to have to use shims and this looks better than the normal devil. i

i went on ms paint and tried to edit the picture so i could kind of see what it might look like

oh, and thanks for telling me how to get pictures on here so i can put the pictures on tomarrow

Welcome, I did the same thing. He told me black frame with shims or the White Russian or the Orange Bud. When I talked to Bob at Renegade, he said he had about 10 orders waiting to ship because of the frames.

Hi,

I sold this one a few weeks ago to a customer.
I like the gold/white combinations :)

Yeah no clearance is good until you tweak the rim just a little bit and it starts rubbing. But it should hold up pretty good considering its a top quality unicycle. I had a little beginner unicycle and after the first month of riding the rim was rubbing, and all I was doing was jumping of curves.

koxx unicycles are so cool. How much did they cost, do they cost more custom?

Those uni's are sweet, but the clearence on that first unicyle is almost nothing.

thats a blatant lie. I have gotten my tire caked in mud and cement, affected my riding in no way what so ever. Have you even rode a Koxx-one? If not dont bash them, i hate it that people bash koxx unis all the time. I ride my uni for hours a day and LOVE it. Koxx might have its flaws, but those flaws are in the personnel, not the unis.

Yeah...I'm not riding my K-1 in the mud. I think I'm going to trade my 20" DX for a 24" DX for rough terrain. Plenty of tire clearance with a DX! It's absurdly ugly.

I sure have ridden one, three of my mates have them and if they get wet mud on the tires then they rub on the frame. Obviously yours is different. I never ''bash''ed them, I just critised the minimal clearance on the frame/tire.

Why would you be riding a street/flatland unicycle in mud anyway? Thats what a muni is for. Thats like complaining that your freestyle unicycle gives you no traction when you are riding in snow.

I used to own Devil frames in the past, they are fine for those who aren't so fussy. But, the clearance with tyre is pretty small and sure is crap for riding through muddy woods in. Mud clogs up and ends up being jammed into the massive hole at the bottom of the seattube causing some dirt/grit/water to get into the frame tubes= internal rusting.

Not bad frames at all, but I was very disappointed with the quality of devil frames. Not a single one is flawless, for example they sometimes have ever so slightly misaligned legs if you look down on the frame (XTPs sometimes have this problem too).

On the plus side, they're strong(ish) and not that heavy for a burly steel frame. Arthur Caron broke a frame in 2 months, and some other people have broken 'em relatively quickly too, but I suppose this is down to some of the sloppy manufacturing seen in these frames.

Say you were doing some trials... and it started to rain, and you were landing on some soft turf/grass/mud

if it rains, you'll have much more worrying things than abit tiny bit of mud. Wet wood for example is really dangerous especially when gapping.

And yeah the tyre clearance is quite small on the devil frames but i wouldnt say it has ever bothered me. I mean it can clog up (you really have to be going in ALOT of mud or for veyr long distances (who would go distance on a 19" anyways?)

plus its not as if its hard to get ur finger in there and take the bulk off. As for the tyre rubbing on it, mine is fine and my rim has got a nice buckle in it. (well did the kind bike shop man took it out (mostly))

they are nice frames for the price and pretty light compared to the quax steel frames which are like 1kg.

Both my firends koxxs do this, its to do with the spacers... and thats all I can give you, you probably need another one or something to fill the gap.

Thats a tad pedantic. If its muddy then its muddy, and there's no denying that the frames on my friends' K1s do get clogged up, maybe yours doesn't and i'm not saying manufacturing variations don't exist. Anyone would be silly to do trials on slippery objects.

That was great, should be very helpful. My main question for Jack was how he managed to reuse a non-drawstring cover.

Roland, I think you should post that manual in its own thread in the Rec forum, I'm sure a lot of people who may not see it in this thread could find it useful.

Well each to their own!!

Btw if you look at this koxx seat you may see what I mean about the different shape, more curved:

And the KH is longer and flatter:

not sure which is flatter, someone should post a picture of a fusion street like this one to compare.

They look different but I dont think they are. I have my Seat placed back, so the front is curved up, and the back is flat, just like the Koxx seats look. If I move the angle a little, it will look like the picture Brendon took.

The different frame was at no extra charge, but it might be because the black frames were too short and they had to shim them by about 4 mm to keep the tire from rubbing, so they gave us the option.

There's not much on their website, the best thing to do is to e-mail Renegade and see what they have in stock, they'll let you piece together a unicycle however you want. I asked him for 2 of the gold Devil Girl stickers and 2 of the Koxx-One logo stickers in gold, and he gave me like...3 sheets of Koxx-One stickers, I still got a bunch of red and black ones that won't be going on my uni. I've got some blue and black ones on my laptop though!

http://img329.imageshack.us/img329/6089/1001668mg5.jpg

Also, I would recommend flipping the bolts on your bearing housing if you got yours from Renegade, so they look like this:

http://img329.imageshack.us/img329/6316/1001659wc2.jpg

That way you don't fuck them up when doing crank stalls, grinds, etc.

Kh is very strong, but Koxx, if a new unicyclist had to pick between the two, I'd pick koxx, they look sooo awesome..as I've said before....But the clearance is the only thing from looking at It I'd complain about, I've never ridden another muni other than my friends nimbus before he moved, and my DX, always wanted to ride a koxx or a KH.

the only thing I hate about koxx is the bedford girl stuff, how its on the muni's then some of the stuff that happens with nudity, as soon as I saw that pic I shut the computer off, and installed a whole bunch of new fire wall protection junk, this is a family forum, not a porno website no offence.

First of all, koxx has nothing to do with bedford, I have no idea why you are relating the two. Second of all, what the hell? Grow up, its a sad state of things when a picture of a breast causes someone to go to those lengths.

Haha I kind of agree with you. I mean try and Imagine some kid seeing "boobies" on his computer and like turning it off all fast and freaking out like OMG aaahhhh boobies....my only weakness. *goes and installs new firewall protection for some reason*

What kind of paint did you use to paint the cranks?

agentQ
2007-08-26, 05:01 PM
I powder coated them white. I p-coated them oarnge and did a better job that time. This time around I didnt really take to much time prepping them. The white makes a nice coat tho, I will prolly re-paint them soon and will actully get them sandblasted, or just wirewheel stripp them again.
If I could fugure out how to use that lime color better I think my paint job would be a bit more impressive. I'll try it over black soon.

Thats not the typical "white russian" frame, it use to have the raw finish. I dont recomend getting the raw finish as it is not a powder coat, and the clearcoat they do use is very thin and comes off pretty easy.

Im not to fond of them.
The bearings are super spinny, they also click around more than I like. I dont get why they took the time to put in the hex nut pins when there are 4 other pins without them, that IMO are the worst kind of pins for stipping(those ones with the allen hole ontop insted of from the back). Besides having a wide selection of color options, these pedals dont come close to Jimi C's, which are about the same price and shape and far far better, MO.

Im not saying this just because I ride a Kh but some of these unis look almost slutty haha, they look way over done. I hate that lepord skin saddle. Simple is best. K1 should put less efort into what there unis look like and more effort into how they ride. Also that chocolate brown uni looks bretty bad too.

Hahaha I hope you were jokeing. I was sort comparing them like, sluts being over dressed and all tarted up with lots of make up and that they would look better if they didnt have all of that and were just wearing something simple :o Just sort of what I pictured when I saw some of those unis :o

I dont know what it is but I dont like the new K1 coloured frames. I have nothing against coloured frames (apart from they get scratched up) but I think they were just bad choices of colours, I guess its good they didnt go with the regular colours but I just dont like them.

I don't know what your talking about man. I have a DH frame (no paint at all), and everything else is black. With the exception of the Leapord saddle this is a very basic uni. It just looks really good when you put it all together, especially with the saddle.

I would have agreed if my uni had like oh I don't know say 3 or more colors, but it doesn't even really have 2. Unless you count the raw finish.

I guess you somehow associate animal skin to promiscuous women? Haha I still don't understand why you would call a uni slutty, especially my innocent uni (it's only been ridden by me and like 50 other people)

Yeah there is a second version of the XTP frame.
It has some kind of gusset in front.

I like my XTP allot, nice room for your knees and shins.
On my Kris Holm frame I have hit my knees and shins on the crown.

If they made the back part of the CNC'ed piece closed to then it would be stronger. Now it can bend away from the welds on the back.
