My wife and I saw the Neville Brothers in concert last night (free), then went dancing (free, open bar).

Tomorrow night we're going to see Joan Osborne in concert (free).

[Tonight we celebrated our 16th wedding anniversary, by eating Thai food and having desert in The Chocolate Room. (priceless)]

It's a couple of good nights--rare indeed.

It's a couple of good nights--rare indeed.A couple of good nights! Good for you, Billy. Yes, especially compared to my mundane night last night and the mundane night I expect to have tomorrow night. It is very insensitive of you to create this thread at the exact time when only YOU get to boast about no less than THREE wonderful nights in a row.

Is this self-congratulatory behavior really necessary? Do you need therapy? Maybe we can go together. John Foss says I need therapy.

Well you got the location right, but I'm really not that thick through the trunk.

Happy anniversary, Billy. Do you and your wife have an anniversary on the same date by coincidence? Number 16 is 2^4, a very significant year in my book. Free stuff to boot, too.

Hey everybody,

Thank you for the anniversary good wishes!! And the drawing!! Very cool.

After the Jazz _-ssengers accompanied Joan Osborne on 3 songs, she sang a slow sad version of War (What is it good for?) that had her wiping the tears from her face at the end, and segued into What if God were one of us.

Her version of Bob Dylan's Make You Feel My Love was tops! I've got to get my hands on it.

When the rain is blowing in your face
and the whole world is on your case
I could offer a warm embrace
to make you feel my love

When evening shadows and the stars appear
and there is no one there to dry your tears
I could hold you for a million years
to make you feel my love

I know you haven't made your mind up yet
but I would never do you wrong
I've known it from the moment that we met
no doubt in my mind where you belong

I'd go hungry, I'd go black and blue
I'd go crawling down the avenue
Oh there's nothing that I wouldn't do
to make you feel my love

The storms are raging on the rolling sea
and on the highway of regret
the winds of change are blowing wild and free
you ain't seen nothing like me yet

I could make you happy, make your dreams come true
nothing that I wouldn't do
go to the ends of the earth for you
to make you feel my love

Love, Billy
