Yup... if he fell off he would deserve a darwin award.
Why do all of your videos that you post have a potential for a darwin award!?
I LOVE watching the videos you post... they're always so interesting and cool. Keep posting em'. Oh, and your uni-geezer vids are REALLY awesome too!

I'm not sure if this is the same thing because my computer sucks and I couldn't watch the video.
But every year the indianapolis police team come to our biggest parade of the year.
Usually they have one guy stand on the seat of his motorcycle and go down the street.
This year they had three!!
They can turn around corners and stuff too while standing.

I admire the skill and control these guys demonstrate on those bikes...
but abhor the idiocy of doing such stunts on public highways where the lives of many others are put in danger. Did anyone else have the impression that the bus was closing rapidly on that bike? If he had continued for many more seconds that bus driver would have been forced to make a quick lane change.
He'd probably been checking his mirrors already, looking for a way out.
That idiot on the bike should get some time in jail for endangering so many other drivers.

I hate how cops and the armed service are so hypocritical about bike stunts. They hate stunters with a passion, but for their own events they're free to do whatever they want. Maybe if you're doing a christ with a US or POW/MIA flag then it's ok.

Just a thought for you people saying the cops just point out bikers doing stunts what if he would have fell and caused a pile up possibly killing other people (children, mothers, fathers, friends, family and so on...) just so he could preform stunts.... they have places where you can practice things like that where you only in danger yourself.

The guy should get his license suspended and once he gets his license back he should be put in a special insurance group that has a minimum premium of several thousand dollars per year with half of that premium going to the state.
Go to a race track or some closed course to do bike stunts. Don't do them on a public road. I have no sympathy for him getting caught. My only regret is that the fine is not high enough and his license will probably not be suspended.
The highway is not a place for bike stunts or driving games. Go to a closed course to do that stuff. A motorcycle did a wheelie right in front of me on I-90 once. Not cool. It forces other drivers on the road to make defensive maneuvers to avoid hitting him if he dumps it. Those defensive maneuvers risk causing an accident even if he doesn't dump his bike.
Here's one example (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h3sV49ZIH8o) of why you don't do bike stunts on public roads. There are plenty of other examples on YouTube.

I admire the skill and control these guys demonstrate on those bikes...Motorcycles balance themselves. You really have to try hard to get the bike to fall down once it's moving. The skill required is minimal, but the guts required is way up there. If you do it on the freeway it goes way beyond guts, past stupid and into the advanced Darwin Awards category.
Did anyone else have the impression that the bus was closing rapidly on that bike? If he had continued for many more seconds that bus driver would have been forced to make a quick lane change. As soon as the guy lets go of the handlebars, the bike is coasting and decelerating while the bus closes. I'm sure the bus driver was watching and slowing down as soon as the guy stood up. But yes, wouldn't it suck to be him if the guy messed up and the bus had no option but to go BA-BUMP, BA-BUMP over him and his bike? That's what makes the rider's actions a criminally stupid act.
Everything JC said.
In a space set aside for such tricks, it's amazing what these motorcycle guys are doing. I saw this with Corbin Dunn and Maestro8 last year at the Motorcycle Mayhem event in Fresno:

Yes indeed...today my memory banks coughed up something from my early teens: I used to do the same trick standing on the banana seat of my Schwinn Stingray bike (similar to THIS) (http://farm1.static.flickr.com/223/508911552_c921e7d6ee_o.jpg) I recall it being quite easy and fun. (though I think I kept my hands on the bars)
