This was filmed last year at some school-held concert...

It's my friend Dan and I playing a song we wrote in guitar class titled, "Alright." It has words, but the female singer didn't partake in this performance.

Dan (left) - 12-string rhythm
Me (right) - 6-string lead

In the beginning Dan was wearing these huge white sunglasses to be funny, but then realized he couldn't see. That explains what sounds like a screw up lol.

EDIT: and note the stupid clap the audience starts doing haha.

Eh Underoath. I'm sure I could play that song..as could most guitarists. It's just a bunch of pull-offs.

Thanks Hazmat!

If you don't know what a pull-off is you've got a long way to come lol

Here is another live (electric) performance of the song...with words this time.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=Um8-5PV7seM

There are only words to the chorus:

"Come with me,
I'll show you,
Good times,
We can be,
Alright"

Thats it lol

I hate it when the audience feels like that have to add their own percussion. Great job though, do you guys compose at all?

Edit: Never mind, I didn't read the whole thing. Awesome composition!

Wow! Great melody and great changes! You guys are good.

I wish I could hear it with the female singer, though.

Thanks a lot guys!

Yea we composed it for a sort of in class competition and won.

Ivan - I posted a link to the song being performed with the female singer above.

Ah, found it. Quite good, except I couldn't hear or see much of the female singer. Which person did she have a ritual saliva exchange with at the end of the song?

And I wish you'd hit that sound engineer with an empty water bucket.

Hahahaha. That wasn't a "ritual saliva exchange." That was me...she was probably yelling something in my ear.

Yea the sound quality sucks...but thats because it was recorded on a digital camera and it was performed in a gymnasium-like setting.

Well, you guys are great nevertheless. When you hit it big, make sure you send me a copy of all your albums delivered by a monkey in a lear jet. I'd like that. I'd like that a lot.

Haha, unfortunately the band broke up for college. But the singer from the band (who's a year younger than I) is coming to my school next semester. So it'll be a duet and we'll more than likely record some stuff. I'll post any if we do.
