A little while ago, I posed to question to someone on the forums (lukkyjay, i think) of why ID was ridiculed as much as it was.
This (http://www.re-discovery.org/)is why.
I was reading through their article on gravity, and for about the first half, I was convinced that it was satire. Then I kept reading, and they just might be serious. They basically seem to be saying "If something can't be completely explained and proven beyond a shadow of a doubt, then it's the work of an intelligent designer". They even say that Shakespeare must have had divine inspiration, because:
No modern writer has managed to reproduce a similar work
As GILD would say, keep the tinfoil hats on.
There are things on there that seem blatantly satirical, like Kansas' Periodic Table of Elements...but the rest seems very serious. I honestly have no idea now if it's serious or not.
