Just for everyone's information...

If there is a video on YouTube that you want to download onto your computer so you can play it locally (and KEEP it, because sometimes things disappear off the Internet), you can do this:

1) install FLV Player. You can get it from download.com (http://www.download.com/FLV-Player/3000-2139_4-10467081.html)

2) download the videos as follows --

go to the YouTube page that plays the video that you want
copy the URL from the address bar of the browser
go to http://www.keepvid.com
paste the URL into the box and press the download button
the page updates (quickly) and displays >> Download Link <<
click the link to download and save the video file
(if it doesn't save with a nice name, give it one)
(it must end in .flv in order to play easily)
double-click the file to play with FLV Player
(you can size the window to play it larger)

Have you ever seen the Swift Solo? I've saw one out sailing near Seattle and in Port Townsend. It's wild to see a little racing boat with three sails (spinnaker, jib, mainsail) being sailed by a single person. That's a lot to have on your hands.

Somehow, I never liked opera. I'm usually open to practically any kinds of music, but with opera I just get bored after 15 seconds. He does have a good voice, though.I generally dislike opera too, (preferring instrumental classical music) but if that piece doesn't move you, then nothing will. I don't even understand the words becuase they're in Italian, but it doesn't detract one iota from the emotional impact of the music. Powerful masterwork.

I was talking about opera in general. I listened to the beginning of his first piece and couldn't stand it after 20 seconds. Opera just doesn't cut it for me. It's got no decent rhythm and the melodies usually just blur into this annoying wailing.

I was suspicious that it might have been something that wasn't as it seemed. About 6 months or so ago there was a music video on YouTube that was supposedly by a Christian ministry group. It was an anti-homosexual song. The singer and minister claimed to be a reformed homosexual. One of the goals of his ministry was to convert homosexuals to being straight.

The song got taken down from YouTube then posted on other sites. The ministry had a web site that explained their stance.

Turned out to all be a hoax. The minister was actually part of an acting troupe. The whole thing was a parody.

I can't remember the web site or any of the other details.
