A Right Crank

Hi! I'm new on the list so I'm not sure how the format works. If I say something
completely silly, please bear with me.

I just recently discovered that the threads on the right crank of my Schwinn
20-inch are stripped. When I bought the third-hand unicycle from a friend, the
right peddle had been welded on (evidently, because the peddle wouldn't stay on
other wise. Well, the peddle broke off and now both the crank and peddle are
completely useless. Does anybody know where I could obtain a right crank for my
unicycle?? I've tried bike shops, but they all seem to give me a hard time.

Have you considered looking for another welding shop? I had an old uni that I
stripped the pedal threads on, and eventually had welded together. It lasted for
a couple of years, and then the pedals broke off again, and I gave it to a
friend who had them welded back. I think it's still working, but I haven't asked
him in a while.

When I picked up the uni from the welder, he said, "I tried one of those once. I
busted my ass!"
