Why the reserection of old threads?

I like it when its relavent, I would much rather see an old thread brought back to life. It is always better to bring an old thread up than start a new one on the same topic, that way the search doesn't get as clogged up.

That's easy, look at the dates.
It is always better to bring an old thread up than start a new one on the same topic, that way the search doesn't get as clogged up.Not to mention the even more useful reason; saving us from writing the same stuff over and over, if the original writing is still relevant!
