English pronounciation

This is a vid from finnish Idol semi-finals and I ahve been wondering why some, americans and some others whose native language is english, have said that he doesn´t prounounce the words right. Actually few have said that they don´t actually understand any of the words. So I´d like you to tell me what you think, caus I think he pronounce even better than many speaking as their native tongue...

If I hadn't known his nationality beforehand I don't think I'd have been able to tell that that wasn't his native tongue; his pronunciation is excellent. I think I'd have guessed it was a very slightly Irish accent, actually...

He certainly speaks clearer than most Northerners in this country do... :)

Yeah he souds British to me, and you were close enough with pronounciation (sic), I don't think I would have spotted the mistake if phil hadn't spelt it differently in his post.
