Clicks, doesn't it?

I know kierke(spl?). Mischa taught me that. He's in Canada now. He's got four sisters, poor sod.

2007-03-14, 07:09 PM
four sisters, deary me..

did they move with him?

ivan
2007-03-14, 08:27 PM
Three of them did. The youngest one was born there.

The second youngest - Robin - is the coolest. I used to kick her ass at ps2 snowboarding.

ivan
2007-03-15, 07:07 AM
He also had a parrot and a dog.

They took the dog to Canada, but sold the parrot. The parrot was big and would screech vehemently every time he heard a guitar tuner.

tobbogonist
2007-03-16, 12:55 AM
did it ever say anything wise?

ivan
2007-03-16, 01:18 PM
It only spoke in parrot tongues, so I wouldn't know. It could climb people pretty well, though. And fly around the house. It was an awesome bird. Pretty, colourful and with a huge beak.

tobbogonist
2007-03-22, 12:14 AM
a huge beak is a must for an awsome bird.

ivan
2007-03-22, 12:38 PM
Can be dangerous when it gets excited.

It could use the beak and the tallons for climbing around anything it wanted to climb around. That bird is my inspiration.

I think we're the only ones keeping this Dutch forum alive.

2007-03-26, 08:45 AM
I was thinking that, i wonder what the thread was actually about :(

i feel kinda sorry for the guy, but not sorry enough to google translate it and reply to his post..

your inspiration is birds?

ivan
2007-03-26, 09:21 AM
My guess would be that he created a website about everything(cars, photos, jumps, games, skiing, sex) and is trying to promote it. We're actually helping him by bumping his thread(well, not really).

Birds use gravity in the most ingenous manner - they fly.

Haha, I'm loving this thread.. I've started my own dutch forums and since then these hardly ever get visited :) The original post doesn't really have much to do with unicycling at all so I doubt the guy will be bothered haha, he's promoting his own website about cars, girls, weird videos and all kinds of stuff. I'm not quite getting the parrot stuff but I don't think there's much to get haha

my father is talking to the cat.

ivan
2007-04-07, 08:54 AM
What does he tell it?

Make sure you get back to me when the cat starts replying.

tobbogonist
2007-04-10, 10:58 PM
the cat has said nothing yet, although that could be taken as a silence vow. maybe she can speak, yet doesn't want to.

maybe my father knows something i do not..

ivan
2007-04-11, 04:36 AM
Probably he's got a whole network of cats distributed across Tasmania and your cat is in charge of them. He was just instructing it as what their next move is. The cat said nothing, because it has no questions and all is understood.

Or, maybe, you dad tried the apple trick and was sharing his feelings with the cat - someone who won't laugh.

tobbogonist
2007-04-11, 08:25 PM
i am a little worried about my cat actually. It watched me in the shower yesterday morning and then when ever i looked at it it pretended to be really interested in a squeeky shark. There is something fishy going on there..

Dad has showed me that apple trick, it is not youtube worthy.

ivan
2007-04-12, 05:47 AM
I bet the cat was evaluating your fitness for the apple trick. You better watch your back from now on. There's something sly going on.

tobbogonist
2007-04-12, 08:19 AM
i shall take your advice and be advised, my back is watched.

as for the sly goings on, luckily i have a 'sly swat'..

Oh right, plan B.

Good thinking!

tobbogonist
2007-04-12, 09:46 AM
PLan B alright.

although i am not sure how 'good thinking' that is.
If plan A was thunk by the same thinker as plan B one would presume he or she placed the plans in order of most likely not to fuck up, if A did not work, what chance does B have?

oops, sorry bout the language..

ivan
2007-04-12, 09:56 AM
It's okay, noone speaks dutch that well.

I guess plan B would be an alternative to plan A and would possibly go about things differently than plan A and so have different advantages/disadvantages.

It's also a second chance and a hope. You always need hope.

tobbogonist
2007-04-12, 10:33 AM
it seems intelligent enough to combine both into a brilliant uber master A/B plan

ivan
2007-04-12, 01:34 PM
The cat, you mean? I bet it's more intelligent than any of us can ever imagine. Just ask it nicely and it'll tell you.

Maybe your dad needed help or advice with something, that's why he was talking to it at such a great length.

tobbogonist
2007-04-15, 08:48 PM
My cat keeps getting out and running around every which way, this normally results in a squashed cat :(

my friends cat was into the bomb building busininess, he is currently building a nuculear one under the house, he is constantly taking materials under there :)

My dad talks to the dogs to..

ivan
2007-04-16, 05:20 AM
Squashed cat = no good. Have you thought about tying its paws together? I bet it could still jump around, but probably not as much and not as far.

Nuclear bomb = big kaboom. I suggest you start moving out before they begin testing it.

Your dad is a hero.

tobbogonist
2007-04-16, 08:13 PM
Thankyou i shall tell father you said that :)

I just got dad to talk to my cat, now he doesn't go outside at all.

as for the nuculear bomb, i consider myself safe, i know the cat making it.. no aposable thumbs at all! not a chance in flicking the detonation switch.

They might make one of those big yellow buttons with a smiley face on it that you push with your nose. Then you'll be in trouble(or not anymore).

tobbogonist

consequences are nothing when one gets to push smiley buttons with there nose.

(Some kind of disease in the head)
Is that why you're speaking gibberish?

tobbogonist
2007-04-23, 08:41 PM
i think you may be on to something.

a disease of the language controlling area of the brain, just south of the hippoputumas/campus.

if you break up the word disease you get dis-ease, does this mean something that one is having trouble doing?

ivan
2007-04-24, 03:36 AM
Maybe he ate his Corpus Collosum for Easter by mistake.

Disease means when you sneeze people start covering their faces and looking away uneasy. That's when you mention what you doctor said, i.e. most people's chances of surving this are quite high. Then you can make bets with yourself as to who'll break the window first.

tobbogonist
2007-04-24, 08:15 AM
hehe, my doctor is Indian. I cannot understand him at all, that is the only reason i still have to go to the doctors with my mum. she's got the knack.

ivan
2007-04-24, 08:20 AM
You should learn some Indian and surprise him next time you see him.

Just choose the right moment, you don't want him doing a somersault when he's got a needle in your bum.

tobbogonist
2007-04-24, 09:02 AM
How do you know about those?

l will learn how to say, "please dont somersault with a needle in my bottom Mr doctor."

ivan
2007-04-24, 09:09 AM
That might do the trick.

How old is he?

tobbogonist
2007-04-24, 10:25 AM

ivan

ivan
2007-04-25, 03:46 AM
It's really not that big, you wouldn't normally notice it.

I'll ask him if I can take a picture.

tobbogonist
2007-04-26, 09:26 PM
just imagine; and here is a picture of my friends small grey spot, he is not sad about it at all.

Disclaimer: picture taken with full consent of person(s)

ivan
2007-04-27, 03:31 AM
I'd then print it in a big format, go to somebody's house, wait till everyone happens to be out of the room, hang it on the wall and leave.

Wouldn't that come as a surprise?

tobbogonist
2007-04-30, 12:59 PM
more of a surprise than most things, although not as a surprise as maybe knocking out the wall and replacing it with honey comb..

i need to go make my bed. goodmorrow!

But on the bright side: we're learning Dutch this way.

tobbogonist
2007-05-02, 08:54 PM
It is a very slow learning process, but i have actually got to the point where i cannot tell te difference between dutch and english, they just read the same..

i suppose i should ask something.

how is life going? i guess daylight savings or something is plaging your late night posting? we need to make a chat date! we should arrange a day to have the most people online ever, that would be fun :)

cheerio..

ivan
2007-05-03, 03:45 AM
Yeah, chat date should be good. Daylight savings are pretty bollocks. You used to show up at nine, but now it's after 11, when I'm well in bed. Most people online ever tends to happen spontaneously and always overloads the forums.

Life is a road. Full of turn-offs, short sprints and long runs. We'll deal with it as it comes. If I lose my way I'll follow you. 'cauze today's like yesterday, I guess tomorrow will do.

How have you been?

tobbogonist
2007-05-03, 09:17 PM

wow that is a huge time difference now, bloody daylight savings, a many thousand bollocks to you!

yeah i have been great, got the weekend of work. going to Agfest (http://www.agfest.com.au/) then going into Launceston to get right proper plastered. It shall be a weekend to remmember, all my friends are back from uni/work/buggering around and it will be really something :p

how about you?
school nearly over i here?

ivan
2007-05-04, 05:56 AM
Yeah, a few more weeks, then a month of exams, then it's all over.

Don't know what I'll do after that.

lol thanks for the festival envy.. We had a little to much to drink and the whole weekend was great. Went on the second best pub crawl of my life. cant even remmmember most of the festivale. went to the polish embassy for a rave party full of under 18's, that was an expereince, got policed out of there.

Ouch, a fence picket? A rave party full of under 18s... Cool!

I just unicycled and read books. It got really hot lately, so I'm stopping wearing my protection slowly. I'm also thinking of getting cycling shorts. Can't decide yet.

We went to this dancing concert today, it was pretty good. I think it would've been even better had we managed to find the theatre. But before that we went to a photography exhibition. They had this cool box with 3D photographs of different places around the world, all from years 1870-1930. I must have spent at least 20 minutes at that box. They were one of the most beautiful and interesting pictures I've ever seen. And the 3D made it feel like you were actually there. Now I'm dreaming about coming back to the museum, breaking in and stealing that box. It's a shame the museum is in the other city. Plus, I would prevent other people from seeing it if I did steal it. Anyway, school tomorrow.

Did you like my new motto?

hmm i couldn't get on to unucyclist.com just there for a moment.

under 18 rave party.. not cool, full of drunken 12 yr olds and 20 yr old emo guys trying to shag them, we just went to talk to the polish.

so did you actually get to the concert, or just 'go' to it but not find it.
those photo were really old, what was the quality like?

i sure like the motto, i was replying when uni.com shat on me :) i think it is a winner.
that photography sounds neat, bet it would have great. we dont get cool things like that here.

ivan
2007-05-07, 03:30 AM
Yeah, we "went" to the concert, but never found the venue. We kept asking people on the street where it was and everyone would send us in a different direction. We spent at least half an hour looking for it. Then decided to just go home.

The photograph quality was very decent for something over a hundred years old. And I was really really impressed with those 3D pictures. Now it's like I've been to old Honk-Kong, Paris, Nice and many other places. That box is one of the kewlest inanimate objects I've ever encountered. I wish it were my neighbour so I could go over to ask for salt and then ask if I could possibly have a quick look in the binoculars...

ivan
2007-05-11, 06:32 AM
Shrinkage stooping, eh? That's something I'd expect from a Sydney university.

My exams begin on 25th of May. School ends on 23rd. No school today, because of the storm. Thank you, whoever's in charge!

I'll use this time to finish the video I'm making. Hopefully, it'll be ready by the end of the day, maybe even sooner. Then you're gonna have to watch it!

What are you up to today?

tobbogonist
2007-05-11, 08:15 AM
damn i cannot wait. i shall watch the shit out of it :)

no school! i read that in MR. lets give thanks..

today i am doing nothing really. Tried again to remove my trials tyre, did not work. i have been trying ever since i went for that ride with mill_mobile. bloody pinch flat. I really want to get into muni, but i dunno what to buy. How wide is the rim on your Qu-Ax? depending on the size i may even buy one tonight :)

over

ivan
2007-05-11, 08:41 AM
Have you try soap or oil to greasen up the tyre? That and three spoons should get it right off. I hate pinch flats. They always make me upset. Luckily, I've got two inner tubes and I keep changing them between each other, so that I don't have to wait to patch the tyre before I can ride the uni again.

Buy the rim or the qu-ax? I've got no idea how wide the rim is, it's BX32. I've got to call the Danish embassy now and then I'll try to find out the size.

tis short for samantha. she does blokey things like fishing and drinking with the 'boys' and also does girly things like shopping and spending hours in the bathroom.

(it is sad that i see the difference between the sexes as fishing and drinking vs shopping and bathroom usage. there must be more to life.)

Really? That's very sweet of you!

Unicon 2010 is supposed to be in Australia. I've got no idea where I'll be or what I'll be doing at that time.

And I don't really fit either sex under your definition. Damn, I've got to get me a sexual identity.

Today they handed out our graduation gowns at school. I've got a few ideas for some cool pictures, so I'll take them and then post them here. I've also almost convinced my physics teacher to let me try some trials in the physics class. I would do it in my gown and tape it on video, that should be really funny and good for my video. My friend said he's gonna give me his camera tomorrow, so I finally should be able to get some decent footage.

If you have any cool ideas as to what to do with my gown, tell me!

And I'm very glad to hear that Sam is better. Can you please beep her nose for me?

Bleeped her. funny you should mention that, as it is a past time of ours.

i dunno about your gown.. umm ive never had one myself. you could wear nothing under it and scare old ladies?

why get a sexual identity when you can create your own?

i am real busy lately. i am going to upload some airchecks :)

Bleeped or beeped? I'm not sure what bleeping is.

Check out my Academics on Unicycles thread for some cool pics with the gown. Old ladies will have to wait for a bit.

I'd create my own identity, only people seem to have loads of problems with pre-made once, I imagine what my life will be like if I come up with a new one.

Today was a funny day. In the morning I went to school for the end of school celebration. People sprayed shaving cream over each other and wrote farewell wishes on their friends' shirts. It was great fun. Later the same day, about an hour ago I got a call from a girl whom I used to go to school with when I lived in Russia, around 7 years ago. At first I wasn't even sure who she was, but then she said she was the shortest in our class and I remembered(I think). It's pretty funny to hear about the old times and all the people. I haven't seen them in ages. Apparently, some of the girls have had babies already. What's the hurry? And this girl that used to be my girlfriend ages ago tried to phone me, but couldn't get through, apparently. I wonder what she'll say.

So many memories and I haven't even got a class photo. I've got a few photos from some school trip to an observatory, but that's about it. It'd be cool if some of them came over here for a holiday or something.

And I landed a unispin off a curb today. I just imagined there wasn't a curb and the pavement extended over the road. Don't push your mental blocks, work around them.

Wow so much typing :o

Happy graduation and finish schooling! have you worked out where you are going yet? It has to be somewhere i can visit (eventually), well doesn't have to be, but it would be nice :)

have you examed yet? sorry i havn't been keeping track, life has dished me a busy schedule.

wow phones from friends that are old, yet strangley, the same age :s that would have been interesting. i cought up with an old friend the other day and we arranged a roadtrip! Is the old girlfriend a nice one, or does she bear break-up grudges? you know the "we can still be friends" then the next day she doesn't talk to you again.. mm russian Girls. my minds eye conjures either the busty naked ones of teen stereo type movies, or the hairy forarmed stocky ones from teen comedy movies. damn movies!

i have never heard of the shaving cream application? we just wrote on shirts, squirted water and did generally all-round naughty things :) keep you shirt incase any of the people that signed become famous, you frame it? mine is crumpled in my bottom draw.

wow congratus on the unispin! you are getting mega good and making me feel inferiour :( i dont get time to ride, it is dark when i get home and then i must sleep anywho. I bought a video camera last week, alas it had problems and would blast out electric shocks like it was designed to do such a thing. i could not then bring myself to buy another.

i have applied for some commercial radio jobs :) things are looking up!

Hey Tom! Good day today. My friend finally gave me his camera like he promised and now I can make a proper unicycling movie(at least, I hope I can). Sorry to hear about your camera shocking you, perhaps the components inside are conducting Milgram's experiment. You never know.

I've got no idea about the ex-girlfriend. I think I better call her and find out. Also, she's got the phone number of my other friend whom I wanted to find for a long time. That one is great. Once, I was stuck in the bathroom with her for about 5 hours and we couldn't get out. It was really fun and stupid.

And I think they are more towards the busty naked side, although they are probably dressed most of the time.

I want to go to study in Edinburgh. I remember you saying that you wanted to come over there for the Fringe Festival once, so hopefully I'll be there when you do.

Shaving cream is just something that they spray over each other to have fun and enjoy themselves. Some people were covered from head to toe in it. I thought it kinda symbolic, since most boys will be going to the army where they'll get their hair shaved. I managed to avoid most of the cream. They also threw water balloons and sprayed water. One guy did a spin on his fron wheels thing with his car in the middle of a busy intersection. Pretty dangerous and stupid, if you ask me. Luckily, noone was hurt.

I'm keeping the shirt to hang from my wardrobe for a while, then I'll put it in the drawer as well, I think.

Today I'm going to the end of school beach party. My friends are planning to gather their money to buy some booze for cheap, others will probably do the same, so it looks like it'll be a big piss-up. We'll see...

And congratz on applying to other radio stations. Any responses yet? I'm looking forward to hearing those air checks. You've been a very good listener... Priceless!

Edit: and don't feel inferior because of my riding. I've got way more time on my hands than you do. If I used all my free time to practice unicycling, I'd be Dan Heaton level by now. Or dead.

See you on the flip side!

So, I went to the party last night. Lots of fun, we had a bonfire and I kept jumping over it. Noone wanted to accept my challenge, though. Got moderately sloshed and talked to different people. Also got two irritating mosquito bites on my right knee.

And I called my ex-girlfriend yesterday. I think maybe I didn't call at a very good time, because she had nothing to say, except the usual how is it going/what you been up to stuff. I gave her my e-mail, so she can sort it out. She also promised to find the phone number of my other good old friend - Rita. Rita is one person that I've really wanted to talk to for a long time, but didn't have any way to contact her.

Congratz on buying a 24" muni. Have good fun luck riding trails. I've only tried muni a couple of times, but I loved it immensely. I like just bombing through everything, feels kewl. Remember to wear protection!

One thing about me lately: many people come to me to talk about their problems and stuff. I don't mind, I even enjoy helping as much as I can, I'm just wondering why. Is it something about my hairstyle?

We have brought enlightenment to the dutch forum, although need is a good translator..

Ok i guess i will start at your first post :)

Sweet news on the camera! Does it come with a tripod or will you be propping it up on stumps? As for mine, i think it was conducting a Target returns policy experiment, Took quite some time for the to except a refund.

Ex-girlfriends.. wow i have one hell of a wierd ex right here.. never go out with art girls! i have not been with her for about a year now, she broke up with me and i quite acepted it as i knew she was cheating on me and if she did the breaking up it would make her better (she has a bit of a problem in the mind) But it must have been about two months ago when i was 'msning' with her best friend, who I happen to be good friends with and i am gathering she got on the computer of Kirby type BRB :) cause it said Back then i asked how uni was going (they are both in Hobart doing Uni) to which i got the reply Great, i dont have to see you anymore. After that i got abused for a straight ten or so minutes before i worked Kirby wasn't coming back and that is was said Ex.

Then sun night, i wasn't home because i dont actually live there anymore (i still try to pop in once a day in the evenings) My mother found a nutri grain box on the door step all taped up and sealed. She opened it and dropped it in shock. It was full of old socks and a pair of undies coated in what appeared to be seaman and then there was used tissues littering the whole thing. When i got home i went out to the bin to see if i new wat it was because she was questioning my brother and i thinking it was one of our friends. Upon tipping it out i new it was her instantly. It was little peices of paper all written on with words made up by here, but everyone had the call sign of the radio i work at and they all had something about what i talked about friday morning in my breakfast show written on them. then one just had like the date: 25th and all these 'nasty' ( i love that word) things written on it. then in the bottom there was a huge chefs knife packet and lots of teabags. She really needs to find herself a hobby. It is not as much the Box or its contents, it is the fact she left it on my parents doorstep and my mother found it.
I dunno how to react, feel i should just ignore it, but i am upset that she put my mother through that. i might actually post a thread about it.

anyways. naked and busty sounds nice :) As for being stuck in the bathroom, i was stuck in a toilet once we had to take the door of the hinges. Quite amusing, although i was stuck alone.

Here's to meeting in Edinborough! if all goes to plan i should be over there next year! i am going to win RAW.

Some guy finishes school and does a burnout to celebrate :o poor fella sounds like he does not understand the concept of celebration.

So how drunk did you get? and how was the beach party? sounds like you really conquored that firing bon.

thanks for the confidence boost, i am trying to work out how to save my airchecks into the gallery, it just wont work :( hopefully i hear back from the place i applied to today.

The 24" will be Muni! i used to mountainbike/XC quite heavily when i was younger and have been itching to get back into it, im excited :) but i will try trials and street on it, just see how it goes.
cant wait till your as good as dan heaton, watch you dont pass away.

Maybe you should shave it all off and fix steel spikes into your skull so as to create the impression of a metal mohawk. then they will leave you alone.

ivan

Bollocks to your ex. Seeing as she's at university now, she could've found herself a better hobby than that.

I didn't get too drunk. I had some whiskey, ouzo, wind and some other pink liqour. I'm not sure of the quantities, I kept refilling. But I was alright, I mean, I kept talking to people and could keep track of conversation and who it is that I'm talking to, jumping over fire, smashing up a pallet with a big steel bar for wood. It was generally a very good party.

Confidence boost is kewl. What is this RAW that you speak of? Is it part of the Fringe? I really hope I can go there this year. And spikes for hear is too violent. Plus, my pillows wouldn't appreciate it probably.

Trued my wheel today. It rolls better now.

Tell me what the radio station says when they reply! Would you be moving to Kalgoorie if they hired you? Is it a good place?

tobbogonist

mmm wood smashing. Bollocks to ex aya? ok then :)

you drunkard bum ;) i dunno i like the spikes idea, you could file them so they are not so pointy? RAW IS THIS (http://www.comedyfestival.com.au/raw/) It is Australia's biggest open mike competition.

wow way to go wheel true'er, it will lie no more.

As for radio, well Kalgoorlie is a quite a large mining town in the middle of the desert, it will be stinking hot but it is almost as large as our capital city here in Tasmania. I dont think i will get it :(

Mining town, eh? How come you don't think you'll get it? Just wait and see what happens. And do all the stuff that you have to do in case you do get it. Like me, I didn't really think I would be able to go to FLUCK, but then I found out that I will be and so now I'm wasting time doing things that I could've done before. For one, I lost a cheap ticket this way. Bollocks.

Thank you for the avatar, I've thought about painting something similar on a real van if I ever got one. I think I'll stick with my current one for now, it looks really cool, I think.

Where in Australia did you use to live before you moved to Taz?

i have lived all over Australia, the only states/territories i have not lived in are Queensland and the Northern Territory. I was born in NSW then Moved to WA then back to NSW then to WA for some more then to Vic spending some time in the ACT and then we spent about two weeks in SA before coming to Australia, where i have been for about 10 years.

i dont think i have got this job, they needed someone ASAP and it has been over half a week and they have not contacted me.

How cheap where the tickets you missed? that is a bummer dude, but you shall have a gnarly time anywho! i forseeth it.

As for the van, i had a friend called Evan that was always fixed on buying a van and painting an E on its side :)

Looks like you've travelled quite a bit. I've changed loads and loads of flats, but only changed the country once. Although, it looks like there is one more change ahead for me. Where did/do you like living the most?

Even if you didn't get the job, never mind. You'll get another one. Just look for the opportunity and jump at it when it's near you.

The tickets weren't extremely cheap, but they were about ten percent cheaper than what I'll have to buy now. Thanks for the foresight. I'll send you a postcard from there.

I've also wanted to do the same to a van(but with an I, obviously), but then I thought that I don't really need a van at all, so I decided against it. But if I ever do get a van, I'll surely paint that I on it.

Tom, I think I need a bit of your help with writing lyrics. I'll e-mail you about it in the next few days(I want to record the melody and chord changes so that you have an idea). I remember reading that poem of yours about a cat. You are a poet. Please help a lesser mortal. (:

Have fun at the radio.

I like Tasmania the most i guess, i have been here the longest.

what countries have you lived in? i have only been in the one.

oh i am looking for jobs right left and center.

I am awaiting your email, although i am warning you. you will not get anything serious out of me :p I dont think i have ever writting something that was not in jest. but i look foreward to it. i am also actually seriously considering going to FLUCK. i have worked out the over all costs and am now just contemplating the pros and cons.

Yeah i do not really know of many people that actually need the van the own, it is more a statment and also all those motorbike stickers wont fit on a normal car :)

ivan

I've lived in Russia, then moved to Cyprus about five years ago. I've changed lots of flats both in Russia and in Cyprus.

I've sent you an e-mail with the lyrics and the song. I sang it myself, so you might want to put in some ear-plugs when listening to it.

Meeting you at Fluck would be truly awesome, although I'm not yet hundred percent certain myself whether I am going. The chances are that I am, though.

I think vans waste a lot of petrol, so owning one to make a statement would be making the oposite statement from what I want to make, if you're catching my drift.

Looking forward to hear from you with those lyrics. Also, tell me what you think about the song in general. It's still in the making, so I could change a lot.

Not a bad singing voice if i may say so ;) i am keen to help you and we can make something magical.
I am thinking maybe a Rap part. not like real rap, just synth bass backing with talking, it would be quite funny if we got the lyrics right. we kinda need to be sitting down in the same room to work on it :(

Hey man! Thanks for the compliments.

A rap part would be cool. I've got pretty much zero experience with that, however. All that I've ever done for hip-hop is listening to lots and lots of Hilltop Hoods. Still, why not try?

Congratz on the unicycling! Did you just ride it around or do some trials/street as well? I've been riding a lot lately, and I'm filming for a movie, don't know how that's gonna come out. Do you have any trick requests?

And living on two different islands does make it kinda difficult to meet up in the same room. Maybe we could do it at Fluck if you come. Oh, and if you do come, buy tickets that send you home a few days after Fluck finishes. We're planning to stay in a hostel in Copenhagen for a few days, should be cool. Then we could see that Tasmanian devil together and you could translate his wisdom for me.

Whatever you do for the song, send it to me, even if you might think it's crap. An idea is an idea.

you are not alone. i was DES (designated driver) last weekend and they had an indoor heated pool. i went a little hypo *blush*

Yeah i reckon like just breaking into a quick rap and then back out or something do you want it amusing or serious. i am no good at serious :(

Unfourtunately FLUCK is not an option. The organisation i would need in order to get there is immense :( i would never get it all going. and also i have to meet up with an old friend in July and go on a road trip that we planned a while ago and i forgot (oops) about.

I mainly worked on skinnies today, had them down pretty good at the end. the first hour or so was just getting used to riding again after so long of not doing it.

Damn i wish i could 'FLUCK IT' but i dunno, it just seems to far from here.

i shall get on to ideas on my next day off (tuesday)

Speaking of driving, I should go for my learner's test soon and then start taking lessons. I feel good because I'm gonna learn a new skill and bad because my new skill will help pollute the environment. Oh well.

Just write whatever you write and we'll see how it comes out. Doesn't matter if it's serious or amusing. The lyrics I've got are pretty silly already, it's all good.

Sorry to hear about you not coming to Fluck. I know what you mean about organisation and stuff. It's a lot of trouble for me too and I started before, live closer and don't have to go to work every day. I guess I'll meet you somewhere else some other time. Have fun with the road trip!

mmm Driving. i dunno about the whole pollututh thy earthuth thing..uth
I have no choice but to drive, living in a small country town I are at least thirty minutes drive from everything and the bus service runs over and back about three times a day. If and when i move to the city i wont have a car, i will just buy a coker :) but as for now, my car is my home. it's not much to look at, doesn't go too fast, but it has taken me everywhere and is like a friend. when i get in my car i feel at home, i have slept in there more than enough times. not that i am a big car bloke.. i cannot stand them really, great honking noises blighters. But mine has given me somewhere that can totally be mine. maybe i am going to deep..

I shall do some writing i shall, just you wait. i will even compose some grooves :p this is going to be interesting (fun)

Yeah i did want to go to FLUCK, but i slowed down a bit and had a look at the calander, there is an Aus uni convention thing in August and then we have a big one here in 2010 (apparently) so i shall get to go to one eventually. and as for meeting, there will be a day :).

The road trip should be good, nice and relaxed with no work.

Yeah skinnies are good fun when one gets the hang of it. i cant wait to see your vid ! i wish i had a camera. Jono (millmobile) and are getting together soon, hopefully we will get a camera to make a tassie movie.

My muni comes monday hopefully :) i cannot wait. i am taking it to the snow!

I understand about your car and things. It's good to be independant and be able to get around on your own. We haven't got any public transport, so everytime I go somewhere I need a lift from either my friends or from my mom, or I just walk there. But many things are pretty close for me, so I'm alright.

Blue told me about Mighty Boosh and even sent me some on DVD. It's the second time he's sending me movies, which is really nice of him. I want to send him something in return, but I haven't got much. But I'll think of something.

Remember how I said that I want to go to the Copenhagen zoo with you, so that we'd find the Tasmanian devil and you would translate his wisdom for me? Well, now I'm pretty fixed on the idea on learning the wisdom of Tasmanian devils. I'm not very sure what to do about it.

First exam is this thursday, should be an okay one. I'm revising for the other ones now.

Have fun doing your weekend things too!

Ham in the mail? Sweet(sour)!

I don't even know what Bottom is, sorry.

Muni rocks!

Thank you for the accent comment, could you understand it okay? I've talked to Owen through Skype once, he also said I had a funny accent, but I think he could understand me alright. For different accents, you can check out the Greetings thread.

And I'm looking forward to your song-writing.

You have pelicans there? Pelicans are my mothers favourite animal and i am quiete found of them. although my favourite animal is cows, they are just so amusing and you can push them over when they are sleeping.

She will grow up soon :( maybe you shall see her all adult like?

Did she now: Tasmanian Devil?

Not Ganster Rap :o imagine italian Ganster rap! Mafia Rap! hehe, funny voices.
I bollocks to them to. place a brick through their window and into their ganster Raping bastard faces?

She's more like a teenager than a child, but still the coolest little girl. I actually tend to hang around with people much younger than my age quite a bit. They just seem more interesting most of the time.

Skype would be a good idea, I think. Do you play any intstruments, btw?

We have two pelicans at this hotel. They have a very nice garden full of different flowers, palm-trees, birds, lizards and hedhehogs. The pelicans are quite funny, but I don't think that they thought the same about us, because every time we came they'd start travelling in the opposite direction, trying to get away.

She knew about Tasmanian Devils, but didn't know about their wisdom. I promised to teach her, once I learned it myself.

Brick is no good. What I should do next time is turn on Tundra Rap as my reply. Ice, glow, nowhere to go! Ice, glow, nowhere to go! Ice, glow, nowhere to go! Lost in the blinding whiteness of the tundra!!! Check him out.

And yeah, she'll probably grow up in a few years. I'm sad that she's not my neighbour or something like that. Then I'd always have a very good friend. Alas, she lives in a different country.

Maybe I'm just silly.

a teen child :0 is she moody?

I was the oppisite, through highschool, especially late highschool, i hung with the older people. only like a year older but i still was with them. They enjoyed having a good time and going to parties and stuff where as my age friends would all rather just sit around somewhere dingy and smoke drugs, this was sometimes interesting but mostly tiresome. They grew out of that though so i am back with my age group :p

hedgehogs? we have echidnas, they are nice to play with. i spot them whilst bushwalking(now to be muni'ing) every now and again. travelling? lol as in using a mode of transport beside walking/flying. amusing mental image right now. I think they think not much.. but whom knows. as longs as they mind the mome wraths (see pic)

oh you will learn. once i learn.. hmm :s

"oh crumble through, crumble through" damn i think i may go watch the second season :)

Maybe you will see her again sometime in the long and fruitfull life that lies ahead? i think not that your silly. although it is fun to be silly sometimes, especially at macdonalds whilst lining up for foods.

I faked sicky to go Muni today, ended up with headache and real sicky :( damn karma. No radio tommorow for i .. my first sleep in since december!

i shall investigate into Skype during the week. As for instruments, i can play the piano, well i used to play and i can still remmember some tunes and can read sheet music. I love playing the harmonica but sound shite and cannot remmember where i put the bloody thing. i played the drums for a little but never really got into it. i have always wanted to play the guitar but could never get around to it. Maybe we should start a folk comedy Duo like the flight of the conchords? (http://www.myspace.com/conchords)

im off. farewell.

She's not moody(maybe just a little bit), she's great! You know when you sometimes get this thing with people that it's just nice to be with them? She's that kind of person for me. I've always wanted a little sister, she'd be just the right kind.

Travelling is changing your position in whatever way. I guess I kinda have it from physics. Hehe.

Mimsy were the borogoves is great. I've read a story where the first verse of this poem was actually a message from the future(in a pretty indirect way). That's one of the best short stories I have read in my life.

I haven't been to MacDonalds in ages, so I just have to be silly wherever I am. I also used to hang out with the older crowd when I was 14. They got me into drinking and stuff. Then I changed school and became friends with people my age. That was when I stopped going out.

On karma: Apparently, every blood donation saves up to three lives on average. That means that if you donated blood, you can kill two people and still have positive karma. I've got it from James Potter.

I'll send you The Mighty Boosh Live once I'm done with it, just e-mail me your postal address.

I think I've heard Flight of the Conchords. Is that the Hiphoppotamus and Janie(woman in the park song)? Those are kewl!

And it'd be really cool if I met her again. You never know how the world will act. I'll just do whatever I do.

I'm going to film for my vid in half an hour. It's really hot outside and I've got a headache, but we agreed on this time with my friend who's the cameraman.

I'll see you on the flip side!

No Macdonalds? wow, i have it about once a fortnight. just chips and one of their yummy chiken salads :)

I dont reckon mighty boosh will work in my DVD player. Aus is a different format:(
I got some new jobs lined up i think :) one in queensland !! :) i hope i get it

You can play the DVD on your computer, if worse comes to worst.

New jobs are good. What are they?

I'm learning flamenco guitar. It's really cool. Rhythmic madness and hot melodies that will summon sexy girls who shall dance and sing for you. Cool, eh?

Gotta learn a bit of spanish phrases now: better watch some Monty Python for that.

Going away party sounds fun. Most of my friends are going to the army after they finish school. My really good friend is going to the army on the 10th of July, the day I will be going to Fluck. Doesn't that suck?

Pacemaker is alright, I guess. Better than constant heart problems(that is, if it helps).

I've already learnt some names of styles that I play and some other words. Haven't practiced playing in a while, though. I was practicing singing instead. I'm thinking of going to a local beach to busk after I finish my exams.

And Blue is going to the hospital today, to change his medication for diabetes. He says it might be dangerous. I really hope it turns out well.

Also, have you seen the replies:views ratio? I think somebody is reading all this.

Wow the veiws are amazing, we are even beating the 'unicycling in the dutch mountains thread" :0 well i hope they enjoy reading it :) we have tried our best.

I did some work on the song the other day and have even began learning the guitar again :) I interviewed the bedroom philosopher today live in the studio and he played me a song, it was inspirational.

Oh dear, i wonder how blue is? i miss all this stuff by going to bed early. I am was going to PM him some stuff to read through for me but i might let it weight untill he is all good and settled.

Are you excited about exams end? it will be good. then to the beach to busk? will you need a lisence? I busked once with some friends and we made $20 or something like that :) i bid you goodluck. FLUCK is getting closer! sorry about the drunken post a while ago :)
Doing stand-up again at the end of the month. hopefully i can film some for youtube :)!! fingers crossed.

Work on the song is cool! You must send it to me when you're done. Who's this bedroom philosopher person?

Blue is fine. He was afraid to switch his medication, because last time he did, he was in the hospital for some time. And he had to switch it, because they stopped producing the one he was using. But they found some alternative and now he seems fine.

I'm not too excited about exams end, because it's still quite some time away. I am looking forward to Fluck, though.

I've been busking once before, made about 80 cents in 40 minutes, which is pretty good, considering I was doing it in an empty street and I couldn't really play at that time. Don't think I need a license(I hope not).

I'm looking forward to stand-up footage. Drunken post is fine. As long as it doesn't drive...

Oh, and you should start looking for a Tasmanian devil, so you can become his friend and when I go to the Copenhagen zoo and talk to their Tasmanian devil, they can open a portal and we can talk through it. And maybe they'll even impart some of their wisdom on us.

I'll see you later.

Bedroom Philosopher (http://www.bedroomphilosopher.com/) he also has a myspace with some songs on it. Guitar playing of his reminds me of you, not that i have seen you play..

relief about Blue, quick someoen send him a cyber hug.

80 cents in 40min :0 i dunno about over there but here that is under the minimum wage, let the government know, they may subsudise you. wow my spelling is terrible tonight, i am going to blame it on the laptop keyboard, i havee never used it before.
hopefully i can rope in a friend to film stand-up then on to youtube it shall go :) dont worry, the drunken post did not drive, only reversed on private property so that a cranky mother could go home.

I have done some devil searching, alas i found nothing. they are quite hard to find and there is not many around my area. plentily of pussums :) and little boundy fellas, they are cute. I will have to find one quick.

had one of those "what am i doing with my life" days
Actually it was more of a "what am i doing with my life" week.
nestled quite comfortabley in my rut i dont really feel like hoisting myself out.
It just seems to be a never ending process of getting up before i was designed to, working longer than i was designed to, going to bed later than i was designed to and then lie there all night wondering what i was actually designed for before getting up to early once again.

Here i am, Nothing helping me, nothing wanted to, nothing cared, nothing went out of its way to order a small side of chips for the sole reason of not sharing them with me.. I feel lonely.

My friends all go out on the weekend whilst i stay at home because i have to work. During the week they get together and do manly stuff, i work. Dont get me wrong i love my girlfriend dearly, but i am longing for some 'man on man' action (that sounds horribly suggestive :( but i mean as in just catching up with friends.)

Lol the commentator on the football just said a team was looking like the little boy holding his finger in the Dyke.. i wonder if he ment the small rivery thing or a lesbian?

ivan

I'm gonna have to check out that Bedroom Philosopher.

Funny enough, that wage adds up to more than what I was offered when I asked for a waiter job in a cafe. Also, remember, that 80 Cyprus cents is about one and a half euros = around 3 australian dollars. Made me feel independant for a day. I was only 16 back then.

Maybe Tasmanian devils are waiting for the right opportunity to contact you. I'm sure their wisdom allows for that. You just gotta keep your eyes open.

Did you ever exchange that electricically-biting camera?

tobbogonist
2007-06-15, 11:29 AM
Ah did some research, it is dike not dyke:)

Yeah i took that camera back. slammed it down on the desk and tried my best to put the memory of the installation disk still sitting in my computer back into the corner of my mind. it felt good.

Keeping eyes open :) i shall find one and it will be friendly.

that is making me cranky, bloody exchange rate. one of the reasons FLUCK was off limits. If i was to take $1000 over i ended up with some measly little amount :( and then had to take returne airfares out of that.

Funny you say that, I also had one of those days yesterday. Mine was "what the hell should I do? I've got no idea..." Must be the exams.

It sucks to work so much. I remember having to work a lot last summer, it was really difficult. And you've been doing this for a year now, haven't you?

Manly stuff? Not sure what that is. I see my friends quite enough, I think. I'd rather prefer to hang out with a girfriend, actually. I think I'm gonna start looking for one.

How come you work so much? Are you saving money for university? Hope this all works out for you soon and you can do other stuff, stuff that you like doing.

To tell you the truth, i have no idea why i work so much, it just happened. Ive have worked pretty much every weekend for the past three years :( the only time i get one off is if i ask three weeks in advance and supply a reasonable excuse (not like i want to go partying) maybe i should quit. i bet there are other jobs out there. ive been doing radio for about 7 months now, that is growing thin. i enjoy doing it, i just hate getting up early.

anyway i am off. gotta sleep, work early tommorow :) farewell.

Maybe you should not show up for work for a week and then when they ask you where've you been, you say "I was trapped in a cabinet". But you'd probably be fired before that.

Where do you work, again?

Oh, and I was invited to the school counselor's wedding today. How strange.

Trapped in cabintes! Trapped in cabinets! Will he get out? Can he get out?
Of course he can...

Thanks for the offer, I only really liked the post modern song(from what I listened to on myspace). Remember, I was gonna send you Blue's DVD, but you said it probably wouldn't work in your player, because of regions? Could you use your computer?

I don't think I'm gonna go to that wedding. It's probably gonna be boring, and you can't really get drunk, cause all the teachers will be there. I've no idea how she feels about it.

Exam in 2 and a half hours. See you later...

I recomend not going.. or.. what the heck! go, get rolling drunk and marry your school counselor. she might even pay for your university?

trapped in cabinets (hehe):)

i dunno about my computer, i would have to consult someone else who has experience in that area. The CD i have is not really anything like the songs on myspace, apart from postmodern. He left comedy to try the glamour of folk singing. i still got the amusing songs.

I quit radio :o well not fully, just doing breakfast. i will still host a show, only now i dont have to get up at 5.30 and i dont miss out on any Kmart work that gives me monies.

many goodlucks in your exam!! how did it go? or even: how did you feel it went?

damn MR is just dribble at this time in the morning :(

ivan
2007-06-19, 10:28 AM
I don't know whom she wants to marry, but I decided not to go. If I go, I have to give her a present, that's about £20. If I don't go, I can keep the £20 and spend them on something cool when I go to Fluck? How is that good thinking for you?!

You quit radio? Well, you know what's best, especially since you say they didn't appreciate you. Maybe next week you'll get a letter with a £1000 a week offer or something. You'll definetely have more time, that's good.

If you have a DVD-ROM in your computer, it can most probably play DVDs. You can then install a program that gets rid of the region annoyance and you'll be able to play The Mighty Boosh Live. It's really good, actually.

Exams went pretty well, I think. I should be revising for my next ones right now, but it's too hot and I feel fairly confident anyway. I'll go and eat instead.

Apparently there gonna be great many parties during Fluck and one big one right after it, in a house with a pool, garden and a small sauna. I'm really looking forward to it. I never knew unicyling could open so many opportunities for me. I'm also supposed to meet this really nice girl that I met on couchsurfing.com when I'm in Copenhagen. She said she'd been to the zoo and the Taz devils look like red pandas. Didn't ask her about the wisdom bit, though. Oh well.

I never read the night MR anymore, it's a bit boring.

See you later,
I.V.A.N.

Umm i guess just keep your twenty, people get married all the time. Tell her you have another wedding to go to. then ask her how that makes her feel ?

Yeah i left, well i am still here till the end of the week. i have put in a straight 7 months for them and the other day i was talking to the manager and i suggested i might not want to do it form uch longer. to which he said "yeah oko thats cool, i can take it from monday" no thankyou, no surprised look, no trying to get me to stay. Just smoke some of your weed and you'll get it. Do I get a discount, btw?

Tom, that radio job is even making me upset now. I mean, how ungrateful can you get? At least say thanks, it was nice working with you or something. But bollocks to them. Yay for university! Where are you going and what do you want to study? I wanna go as well, but I might not be able to this year(uff), so maybe next year I'll go to Edinburgh.

The party with the sauna is off, there'll be another one in Copenhagen, apparently. And many other ones during Fluck. I'm not sure how they're gonna compete with all the parties. Sending the DVD isn't much hustle, it would probably take about a week to get there and Blue wanted them to have an interesting life.

I haven't heard from the girl lately, but she's supposed to be busy travelling at the moment, so maybe that's why. I've got 3 exams left this week and then I'm hitting the beaches.

Good luck with the stand-up. If you film it, please make sure I get to see it.

Stay off drugs? Are you out of your mind?!!
And I know what you mean about scarying people off. I get upset when that happens. Maybe I shouldn't have chased her with that hammer.

Have good fun luck with your last day of this radio programme. Can you please tell Tasmanians I love them? If that's appropriate, that is. Or just tell them I wished them good morning and a fruitful week.

Sweet Fanny Adams is awesome. Rhythmical, powerful and melodical. I love it! Good luck with Sam.

I haven't been fishing in years. Not many places to fish here(just the sea, I guess). Also, I always feel sorry for putting hooks in poor fishie's mouthes. I don't feel sorry when I eat them, though.

Uff, I'm gonna go now, I think. I don't wanna break my getting up early habit. It will help me with uni. It's too hot to unicycle at any other time of day now. Bloody weather.

Yeah Sam is working heaps late, i am really looking foreward to going fishing! i havnt been for Yonks. I am thinking of taking up fly fishing but i have no one to teach me :( I feel bad when i have to get the hook out (i catch and release) i imagine them all bleedy in the water and the other fish would shun them because of the obvious shark hazard.

Hmm, a callout vid? Can you do a somer-sault? I think you have to be able to do a somer-sault to make a call-out vid. You also need a hat, some food, a drink and a funny voice.

I've got some unused footage which I wanted to use for my Fluck video. But I haven't seen, so don't know how good it is. I kind of feel anxious about making a video that 300 unicyclists are gonna have to watch, while I'm there.

Also, beware: I think I'm quite close to landing a crankflip.

My call out vid will be the best. it will call out the world!

damn really? i can Rev like nothing else yet cant seem to take my feet of the pedals :( i have got to the point where i rolling hop and dont even stop peddaling.
Congratulations though. Yeah it would be wierd seeing them all. it is ok when it is just user names and text.

I can't rev for shit. I can do half-revs no problem, and three quarters I can manage, but every time I go for a full rev I end up flying in a random direction.

Try footplant crankflip, they are quite easy and really help with taking your feet off and catching the pedals issues.

Did my first crankflip!!!! totally by accident, twas an over enthusiastic rev. Fell over in surprise and startled Jono.
Had a great week! got some grindage footage! Had my first paid Stand-up Gig ($50 for 10 min) ask jono(mill_mobile) how funny i was?.. I think it went well, but i have no idea how well.

mmm quitting work soon :( cant wait for uni next year! hope i get in.
Hows life? Exams all done!? are you FLUCKing yet?

Hey Tom! I'm at home melting.

Congratz on the crankflip! I've been working on them lately, I can do everything except landing on the pedals. Being paid for making jokes? Sweet!

My last exam was yesterday. It went pretty well, I think. I also found out I passed my guitar exam, even with complete lack of practice. So, now I'm gonna take singing lessons.

Fluck is still 11 days away. Can't wait.

I'm going to a school banquet today and some after-party, only nobody knows where it's gonna be. I wonder how they're organising it, exactly.

To Tom.

It's funny, I just got on unicyclist.com and you're right there.

It has been a while :)
i am back to my regular hours.
Thanks, the crankflip was totally accidently, it was wet and i slipped doing a rev and managed to save it. i got one revalution then fell bottom ways.

Melting.. do your parents know your doing that whilst using the computer? i am not even aloud to eat near the computer.
Yeah it was great, one of my best performances yet. Sam said i was the best there.. but her comic judging skills may be slightly clouded by love :)

congratulations on the exams, bet it feels good having them all over. singing lessons, that is cool. i never new you could learn to sign. From what i have heard your singing voice is not to shabby. That reminds me about the song you send me, really sorry about not getting on to that, life has been throwing me everything it has. I promise i will get around to it. forgive me?

lol afterparties are always like that, jocks will sort it out. just go down to the beach? it sounds warm enough.

11 days :o wow it is becoming a reality.

Hmm, is melting aussie slang for something? I meant melting from all the heat. My singing needs a lot of working on, especially my voice technique: my throat gets quite tired after a few minutes, that means bad technique. And a good singing teacher can dow wonders, I hear.

I don't remember ever landing such and advanced trick by accident. Congratz on that. *wild applause* I haven't done anything with that song myself, either, so I wouldn't have the right to be upset with you or anything like that. I wrote a song about Ewar Woowar today.

Yeah, have faith in jocks and their superior party-organisation skills. They'll probably go to a club, though. I'd really prefer a beach party myself. Can't stand clubs. Oh well.

11 days till Fluck, and I'm leaving for Copenhagen in 9 days. Shweeet!!!!

And isn't it funny how people that like you think that you're more funny, compared to people that don't like you. Like, if you piss someone off, they often stop laughing at your jokes, even though the jokes are the same quality. You know what I mean?

And you were gonna get a recording of your stand-up.

I join you with the hate of clubs. nasty noisy things with sticky floors.
not really, i just thought maybe you shouldn't be melting all over the keyboard :) i may have taken it to literally.

signing teacher pun.. lol. Yeah it was wierd, it took a moment to click that i had just landed it. i didn't try again, i dont know why.

Ewar Woowar?

Yeah i know what you mean, its all fun and games untill you they dont like you, i think it is more they just bloke you out alltogether and force themselves not to be amused.

I didn't get any recording :( one of my friends was coming and bringing a video camera but he turned out to be one of those friends that stand other friends up :( Jono went though :)

Any who i am off to bed. farewell man. enjoy your Banquet and party, if all else fails grab a few freinds and jsut head for the beach. maybe others will follow? beach bonfires are the best.

Advice needed: I got $400 for my graduation(thank you so much, gramma!) and I'm thinking what to buy with them.

I've got it down to 3 options:
- A pair of good can headphones
- A KH trials uni
- A video camera

I want headphones, because I've got nowhere to listen to music in decent quality. Something like thi (http://www.headphone.com/products/packaged-systems/back-to-school-sealed.php)s. John Child tells me those things are well worth the money.

I want a KH uni to be able to do more technical street, like Luke. But I would have to save up some more for that, and my mom probably wouldn't like a second uni(not a problem, but still has to be taken into consideration).

A video camera. I really want one, but don't want a cheap one. I could save up for a better one, or my mom would probably add some money for that, but I'm not sure. My friend, Christo, who's a great cameraman is going into army, so he wouldn't be able to film me. I really enjoyed making small sketches when I had my phone camera working, though. But a good camera seems the most expensive out of all three. Don't know.

So, I want you help me find a three-sided coin so that I can toss it.

I think I'll start a JC thread about this.

I went to the party yesterday. They started an hour late and spent another hour giving speeches and making prayers. Then the food was kinda meh. And I didn't go to the after-party, decided to sleep early so I can unicycle in the morning. I didn't like the party, but I think I was being negative about it. I need to learn to think positively.

Hey Tom! Haven't heard from you in ages. Only two 4 days left till I go to Fluck. I'll be meeting with the devils on 15th/16th, so you've still got a time reserve.

I just thought of an excellent song to use as a call-out response. And I'm really really close to landing a 360 unispin. All I've got to do is move my foot about 10cm to the left and I'm good.

How is it going for you? Found a new job yet?

I'm leaving for Fluck tonight. I'll be seeing the devils on the 15th/16th. I hope you're ready by then.

Hey man!

Long time no see... I'm in Copenhagen now, Fluck is over. I'm probably gonna go see the devils tomorrow. Everything is excellent. We're about to go to a party in Christiania.

Got a flat jumping a six-set today, but Mike Swarbrick helped me fix it(he pretty much did all the work).

Europe is great. Tons and tons of beatiful girls. Some of them too beautiful for their own good, if you ask me.

I'll catch you on the flip side,

I'm back and I'm feeling bad.

I didn't get to see the devils, but that's alright. The entrance fee was around one hundred krona and I only had about hundred and fifty left. For reference: fifteen kronas can buy you a bottle of beer.

I feel really bad about being back in Cyprus. It felt great in Denmark. I was so free: I had places to go, people to meet, girls to kiss and beer to drink. All I got here is my flat, computer and my unicycle. Speaking of which: I really want a 20" trials, now that I've tried them. Anyway, Cyprus really dumbs you down. It's hopeless down here. And it currently looks like I'll be staying here for at least another year. I'll try a change of lifestyle, though. I'll get a job and a car and don't know what next... It's still a shithole, even when you've got money. I just feel very constricted in Cyprus. I felt very free in Copenhagen.

So, I don't know.

On the bright side: my headphones were shipped about two hours ago. Should be here in a week or two. Yay for music!

This was the greatest holiday I have ever had in my life, though. It's difficult to accept that it's over.

Quite upset,
Ivan.

Your back! wow sounds like you had a great time.. i guess that is what holidays are all about. 15 kronas for a bottle of beer.. 100 for a shoofty at a Tassie devil.. Kronas are crazy man. Tis ok they are still holding a msg for you (that is if he kept his word)

Sorry to hear you are all bumbed out. we should try do one of those round the world trips or something on a limited budget where you work while your tripping? i am sick of being here too.

I am glad you enjoyed Copenhagen it sounds like it would have been awsome. i had the webcam feed up for about 4 hours one time but i didn't spot you :(

here's to shitholes! and to there wiping!

glad you enjoyed yourself! un-glad you are upset :( sorry to hear.

Talk to you soon.

Just got up and you're here! Sweet!

I'm a bit less upset today, but I still don't feel good about being here. I'm trying to work out what I should do to make it at least a bit better. I had the chance that I would be going to Edinburgh this year, but it looks like I won't anymore.

That round-the-world trip sounds like a very good idea. We should start planning it... I met these two girls at a party in Christiania that were touring Europe. They were really nice. We stayed in the same hostel and I ended up walking them there at five in the morning, because all my friends had disappeared somewhere. The girls kept calling me the jiggolo, because I had each girl on one side. It was great fun.

Sorry about the webcam. If you told me at what time you would be watching, I would been sure to show up and do something stupid in front of it.

Oh, and I landed lots of 360 unispins. In less than a year of riding! Next target: crankflip, I'm really quite close.

I post so much on these forums... I want to find something else to do, but don't know what. I'm looking for a job, but that's hard to find and I might also pick up a few hobbies, maybe. And practice my music more. My headphones were shipped last night, so they should be here soon and then I'll listen to high quality music a lot! Goodie.

I wish you would've come to Fluck. I know you'd definetely enjoy it. I met so many great people. Like, for one, I never new how cool and funny Kit(MrBoogieJuice) and Joe(Joe) were. Now I do.

I'm not gonna reread this message, it's just a bunch of ramblings and unconnected thoughts. Editing would take time and effort.

whoops i must have just left when you came on.
So what happened with Edinburgh? that is a bit of a bugger.

I think a round the world trip would be awsome. or even.. as those 'ladies' where doing.. round the Europe trip. We should unicycle it! that would be awsome!

lol no problem, it was funny watching it all. Lots of chillins all being little and learning/being better than me on a unicycle. Saw some man sleeping on a couch for ages :) he was funny.
Glad you enjoyed it, i have come to the conclusion i am to unfit for unispins. I am jogging to try get fitness back and once summer starts i will hit the pool!! But at the moment it is just to much effort. maybe it is more just a mental block.

A thousand congratulations on the 360 unispin! that is insane. You deserve a handshake from God. lol imagine a handshake from God, the ultimate congratulations. its what the bloke who cures cancer will get.
Its like cancer is a God made rubiks cube and the person who solves it gets a handshake. hehe

Ive found i have stopped a posting. it go to the point where everyone was making pointless posts and those who weren't i couldn't keep up with anywho. This is the only thread i have really been checking lately. Yeah i always thought it would be neat to meet MrBoogieJuice, it was great when he used to pop in to MR and say something then dissapear.

Ramblings are good.. i am not even going to be able to read this soon as i need to number two. hope it made some sense's.

what type of jobs are you looking at?

I got a video camera last week !! i am gunna make a uni movie soon hopefully when i get the chance to practice.

Video camera is sweet! Looking forward to a movie from you.

I'm looking for any job that pays.

I think a trip around Europe would be much more convinient for me. World trip just sounds too grand, remote and unreachable. Europe trip is much more down to Earth.

Joe - Kit's(and now my) friend is going to buy a van and will do a road trip through Europe to Unicon next year. He invited me too, if I'm in Britain. That should be great. He's gonna install sound equipment and Kit will bring his mixing tables and we'll host roadside parties and stuff. Seems too cool to be true.

I haven't read more than a few threads since I got home. Forums are growing stale. My two favourite threads are MR and this one.

And I'm pretty proud that I landed a 360 unispin on a 24" splined uni in less than a year. Crankfip, you're next.

To me Europe doesn't even exist. Its just pictures and TV footage and both can be faked.

That sounds awsome for unicon! i will probably be at uni :( maybe.. mmm roadside parties.

I just spent twenty minutes making an animation for a test thread that no one will ever see. hehe ghetto gospel :)

i tried hard on crankflips and unispins but i never land them :( except like once every two hours and then i am shocked and i fall off lol.

that was quite funny about the cube lol. i couldnt hear anything though :(

2007-07-17, 07:35 PM
Europe is real, trust me. It seems more real than Cyprus. Maybe it's the weather...

I saw your animation, it's pretty neat.

I've stuck crankflips a couple of times and even grazed my elbow trying them. It still looks pretty mean.

Shame the music didn't work, it's really good.

I should be getting my new snazzy headphones tomorrow. Right now the customs people are listening to them. The twats!

Trip to europe:
Let's say we go for three weeks,
A second-class rail pass for two persons that goes through 4 countries costs around 550 euros(I checked at http://www.raileurope.com)
It costs around 20-30 euros to stay at a hostel for one night. 21x2x25=1050 euros.
You need about 30 to 40 euros for grub and beer(Denmark prices, might be different for other countries). 21x2x40=1680 euros.
So, that's 1050+550+1680=3280 euros for the two of us.
That's 1640 euros each for three weeks spent travelling around Europe.
1640 euros = 2,577.38 Australian dollars. Is that affordable for you? There is also the air fare, but you could probably find something cheap if you book ahead.

I'd love to do it, but I need to find a job first. Then, when I've got the money I'd love to do it. But I've also got to save for Unicon next year. But that's more than a year away... Money, money, money. Must funny in the rich man's world.

Tell me what you think. This is just a very rough and approximate calculation(which I did in my head while listening to Pink Floyd). Maybe we could try busking on the way. Only, I've got pretty slow experiences from busking in Cyprus. But I hear that busking in Europe is more rewarding.

Anyway, I want to hear your thoughts. I'd calculate the cost of the world trip, but I've no idea about the expenses and the countries we would visit, etc. But I guess it would be much more expensive than this trip. Just all the air-fares and stuff... But then again, I've no idea.

Hey man. whenever i log on your not about.. :) bugger.

lol the are cranking chill tunes. I hope they are not ruining it with the musical stain that is pop.

Wow your actually keen to go! i have always wanted to do something like this but never had a friend who wanted to join me, they would always pull out at the last minute :( (example: i was supposed to be going to queensland this months for a road trip. the friend i was going with msg'd me about three weeks ago saying dont worry bout it he found something else to do)

I can afford that! I SURE CAN. i doubt it would work out that expensive. We could take a tent.. we could hitchkike.. we could even purchase a cheap car.. (hopefully we find one that runs on amusing forums posts, we could keep it going for years) a ticket over there for me comes to just over 1000 Australian dollars i believe. We should retire to that small room with just a piano, a roaring log fire and some books in it and make plans.

I would be keen to make it a unicycling thing :) maybe we could work a sponsorship or something.

ok i really gotta go. the car needsa wash and the weather looks like turning crappy. talk to you soon.

and i have also got the weekend off work. i will research priceses etc.

ivan
2007-07-20, 06:14 AM
Pulling out at the last minute. The only reason I would pull out is if I was completely unable to go, e.g. broken leg, I was kidnapped or something irritating like that.

So, if you want to go to, I'm gonna start saving up. I really like your ideas on bringing a tent, hitchiking or buying a car. I hadn't thought of that. My plan was the maximum expenses way, we could probably save a lot like that.

We could try making a small website for the sponsorship and say how we'd ride in every town we go to. And then say: "Help them come to your town". Hehehe.

Today I'm going to get my learner's licenses(finally) and will hopefully go around to look for a job.

It would be so bitching if we could go! Now I've got something to look forward to.

ivan
2007-07-20, 09:21 AM
Hmm, leasing a car seems to be an option. You could get something like Ford KA
Manual (stickshift) for a month for a thousand euros. Just check http://www.autoeurope.com. Maybe you could just buy and old banger off someone, but I'm not sure how to go about doing that.

Having a tent would definetely help cut down on costs. We could also bring cutlery and cook our own food - better than living off burgers and cheaper too.

I went to the driving office today, but they needed the stupid letter from school saying that I'm a student. This is the fourth time I've been there. How annoying.

What countries would we go to? I'm thinking Britain(know lots of people there), France(you gotta pay France a visit and it's on the way), Germany(good beer, need to practice my German, famous country). That's the three main ones. Then I'd also want to go to Denmark(I just love it there) and The Netherlands(hello, Amsterdam). Where do you want to go?

ivan
2007-07-20, 09:58 AM
Sorry, that autoeurope website is actually about renting cars. You could lease a car for about 800 euros, I think. Not bad. Then we could bring a tent and save that 1000 euros on hostels. And food would be cheeper as we could make our own. And we'd be free to go anywhere we want to. I think it's a good idea. Hopefully I'll have my driver's license by then.

Still, we'd need some money for fuel too. But that shouldn't be too expensive.

amanda.gallacher
2007-07-20, 12:31 PM
Or you guys could sleep in the car if you lease one, then you don't need a tent either.

ivan
2007-07-20, 01:41 PM
I suppose, but sleeping in a car for a month could be quite hard on your body parts, especially your back and stuff. I'd rather pay a bit extra for a tent.

I've never properly slept in a car, but from what experience I have, I don't think it would be too comfortable.

I got my headphones today, they flippin' rock your socks off the little bunny rabbit's head brainy moustache that was found there one sunny night the other day once again or twice forever and all that jazz.

Uhh, and in case you missed my posts on the previous page, here's a brief overview:
you can lease(bay and then "buy-back") a new car for about 800 euros for a month. Then we'd need some money for petrol and we could sleep in a tent and cook food from supermarkets with a primus - much cheaper.

I want to tour Britain, check out France, Denmark, Holland and Germany. Probably something else too. Which countries do you want to visit?

Uhmm... Sorry man, I think flying to Cyprus would be a pretty bad idea for you. You're more than welcome here, but it would be difficult to get tickets to Cyprus and once you're here you'll have to pay a lot to go to Europe. I think the best way would be for us to meet up in Europe somewhere. Maybe France, because they lease Peugots there. But I'm not sure yet.

And I haven't got any money yet anyway. First I need to get a job, then save some up and then we can travel. I was thinking some time in winter(your summer).

Sure, Plymouth here we come! It's not far from Blue and it's in Devon, so we could visit Mike Swarbrick, Lucas Wintercrane, Amanda Gallacher and the whole Devon unicycling crowd on the way.

And I know exactly what you mean about getting away from here. That makes two of us, I guess. Still, a trip to Europe is a big thing, especially if you live in Australia. There's gotta be something you've wanted to see.

I know what you mean. It just feels like the longer i stay here the harder it is getting to leave.

hmm job. mmm umm hmm..

I want to go to Ireland. We can stay in Farmers fields for free if we ask nicely :)
I know. Damn island is sucking me in. I want to explore the world! I was singing Dead End Street by The Kinks today.

And you're once clever dude! We could find some organic farms to work on for a while! It's both money and experience! And we could see the country we're in during our holidays. Nice one!

I like the sound of this One backpacker who toured Europe for ten months on $4000 squatted in Berlin for three of those months. On arrival he asked around in a student cafe, and was directed to a known area with many squats. He eventually moved in with three female French photographers and had a whopping good time.

I would rather travel around working then travel around 'holidaying' if you work then you dont have to worry about money as much.

It looks as though we willing be travelling in the winter :( which leave camping right out.

That really does sound pleasant. His delay is very well explained, I think.

And we can camp, we just have to bring a four-season tent. I think. I'll need to verify that. We could go in the spring. But that's so far away... Uggh.

Double Uggh.

We could always start in Austalia then continue on to Europe in the Spring. I have always wanted to unicycle across the nullabour :)

Australia is too far away from me. The flight alone would be no less than £500 pounds - about a thousand euros.

I'm planning to travel around Australia in 2010, when I go there for Unicon.

Good night Tom. I just watched the Trials vid from Fluck. I'm not in it and neither are you, Amanda. Oh well.

I don't feel very good today. Must be all the heat. My chest is heavy and I have difficulty breathing. Hell.

Hey Tom, how is it going?

I want to ask you something. Could you please write out A Matter of Time lyrics by Hilltop Hoods for me? I've looked on the internet, but can't find them anywhere. And I don't really understand them myself, I just catch some phrases, but many words are left unrecognised to me. You're Australian, so you've got to understand it.

Thanks a bunch.

How are things anyway? Much stuff happening?

I'm taking driving lessons, surviving the heat and roaming the town looking for a job(well, once in a while, will go again today).

How is that video coming along?

Hugs and kisses,
Ivan

HUgs and kisses recieved :)

Hey! Yeah i sure could. Can you remmeber which album it is from? doesn't matter if you cannot. It will just take longer to find. wow i just realised how much i miss typing. It just flows so easily, i may type a novel of words.. just words with no meaning. well they would have meaning on there own. but together it would be gabbledygook.

I am working flat out untill Sunday.. (I got a new job. same place.. different boss.. new contract.) but i will do some lyricising then.

Have you ever heard the Herd? another aussie hip hop band. i think they are better than hilltop hoods, other people disagree :s i dunno. they sing scallops! that does it for me.

I been thinking about not much else besides videos for the last week. Uni wise i am in the proccess of fittening up :) jogging, going to gym, rowing. It is painful but i will get there. At the moment my fitness is preventing me from doing what i want on a uni. stuff i have done before and now cannot :( not because of a mental block, just because i get buggered whilst doing it .

I have a pre-stand up vid lol. I ran out of battery for the actual gig :( which was bollocks. probably shouldn't have done the pre-vid. but i will have that up on youtube soon.

how is you tan coming along? easiest way to get a job is to find a place where your parents know someone who works there.

goodluck with driving. i had to buy new tyres and brake cable things for my car last week.. $400 :o deary me.

Friendly pat on the back,
Tom./
