Mikefule, pronounced Mee-kay-foo-lay, is vernacular Tongan for "Bold warrior who rides the disc of the Sun."
Although I was born in the bantu homeland of Bophuthatswana in South Africa, my parents, who were itinerant Methodist missionaries, moved soon after to Tonga in the South Pacific. After my father died (he ate something that disagreed with him) and my mother died a few years later (something that disagreed with her ate her), I was raised by a local holy man who taught me the language.
At the age of 20, I was traced by solicitors acting for the estate of my late grandfather, and I returned to claim my inheritance, Bogger Hall, by the side of the sparkling Trent in the east midlands of England.
I bought my first unicycle in the 1970s and, like most things in the 1970s, it was gold metalic, including the wheel rim. The name, "Bold warrior who rides the disc of the Sun" (Mikefule) seemed somehow appropriate, both as an ironic reference to the gold wheel, and as a tribute to the kindly Tongan people who raised me.

I like Duct Tape and my Camp staff name a few years ago (three now) was Ducttape so i use that and ever since then it's followed me everywhere, I still will see these little kids from camp 3 years ago with their camp shirts on and it'll be some random place like the supermarket and a little kid will yell to his mom as loud as any little kid can yell "Look Mom It's Duct Tape!" and they'll come running over to say Hi, I don't get paid much (about 2.50 an hour for 6 hours a day monday thru friday) but it's that kind of reaction that has kept me going back for the third year now.

So then I put an adj.-wicked infront of what I told my name should be due to the way I look and there you have it. I have used it ever since if you see my username on other forums it is probly me.;) My real name is always taken michael mire ( last name you dont need that:p ) or some form of that because of the movie. I actually was named after my grand-father if not for my last name I would have jr. infront of my name.

Greetings Bold Warrior.
I was born on the southern tip of Africa as well, but in the nearby kingdom of the Zulu.
After some travelling around the country, I eventually settled in Johannesburg, locally known as Egoli - City of Gold.
The city was founded on a gold-rush, so it does make some sense.
After living here for some time, I felt that some of the city rubbed off on me and I chose the username GILD.
Not GILT, which would refer to the thin layer of gold that would've rubbed off on me, but rather GILD, meaning something along the lines of 'one who has been gelded', but just in the past tense, hence the GILD in stead of GELD.

Tomahawk
2007-02-16, 11:49 PM
So? How did you come up with it?
I came up with mine because it is a mix between my first and last name.
This is the story of how I became known as Tomahawk.
Back in 2004, I was just taking a walk in the park when all of a sudden, a flying tomahawk hit me in the back of the head spraying fragments of skull and muscle tissue in every direction as I crumpled into a fountain of my own bodily fluids screaming as my neck folded like a taco in a mexican resturant. A fellow pedestrian who had witnessed the event rushed to the nearest pay phone to call an 911. When the ambulance finally arrived, they had to wade through the bloody chunks of my flesh and liver just to get to the pale, lifless body lying on the red ground. Once at the hospital, they gave me some anti-biotics and a lolipop as the proceeded to transplant every organ in my body with plastic insruments resembling zoo animals. After my treatment was over, they informed me that I would never walk again and that I would be bound to a hospital bed for the rest of my life. So here I am, still in this damn bed. I'm writing from a nice laptop that was given to me by Cousin Richy who was killed in a car accident last year. The person who threw the tomahawk at my head turned out to be some pyschopath looking for some fresh meat. He was brought to jusice and charged for manslaughter. As far as I know, he's still in prison looking for his tomahawk. The tomahawk that ruined my life had broken upon impact and is now in a glass case by my bed. Anyways, that's how I got my nick name Tomahawk.

Most anyone can look at a grammar reference and determine if Ms. Aylery is correct or not.
Not everyone can look at a science text and determine if you're pulling sh*t out of your @ss or not.

unicyclification
2008-01-12, 08:38 AM
I just stole it from the dictionary. I was quite surprised to discover I didn't have to be unicyclification14953.
unicyclification -- The process by which the two-wheeled motorless vehicle commonly known as the b*cycle ( cyclus b*cyclus originalis) underwent very gradual changes throughout a period of several hundred years, by a process referred to in textbooks as consumer selection. The cyclus b*cyclus originalis had a rear wheel which became increasingly smaller in size over time (later known as the species cyclus b*cyclus pennyfarthingis), and eventually disappeared altogether, transitioning into a new and more adaptable species (cyclus unicyclus primaris) which had many significant advantages over its two-wheeled ancestor (the most distinguishing advantage being the awe-inspiring beauty of its simplicity, due in part to the evolution and mutation that led to the fusing of the axle with the hub). While the cyclus unicyclus primaris never achieved universal domination, it has proven to be significant in evolutionary history and continues to develop alongside the cyclus b*cyclus originalis. Therefore the cyclus b*cyclus originalis did not technically evolve into the cyclus unicyclus primaris, they simply share a common ancestor. Most experts in the field consider the recent discovery of the KH gene to be primarily responsible for the major recent evolutionary changes in this one-wheeled vehicle (resulting in the modern day cyclus unicyclus muniis). Unicyclification is considered by the overwhelming majority of experts to be a fact rather than simply a theory, as upheld by a great deal of historical and scientific evidence.

I chose this username back in 2002 when I was only 13. I'm glad I didn't pick something too stupid.
The story behind it is actually quite clever--it's my name, Steve, with "uni" in front of it.
EDIT: Make that 2001.
EDIT2: And 12.

Do philanthropists "love men," or love anthropology?

Mine is obviously my first name and last initial. When I joined I knew there were other prominent Brians and didn't want to cause confusion. I kind of wish I had used my whole last name though.

I'm a magician and I love hot sauce and I thought of a clever way to put the x in to replace the c and the s...but then I spelled sauce wrong and put and s instead of a c....but besides that it's amazing!

When i was younger i threw my uncles beeper on the ground, it shattered into pieces, and I ate one of em.
My family just calls me beeper, and I guess there is no reason why it can't be a username.

I've had an interest in circus skills for some time, I'm glad I finally got into them. Oh and if things go downhill in the future then I have a backup plan of trying out the Circus -smiles-.

OldDrone
2008-01-13, 09:40 PM
Mine is from observing bee hives.
The old drones don't do anything productive in the hive. They spend their day walking the comb eating honey they didn't work for, and their daily flights are for pleasure or to crap out side of the hive. The only job of an old drone is to wait for the queen to take flight and if he's lucky the two will meet and, well this is a family forum so I'll stop now.
That doesn't sound like a bad life so I use it as my moniker.
Divebomber

Divebomber is a song by The Lassie Foundation and a guitar technique used heavily in shoegaze music... A more accurate term is "glide guitar"...

My name was made when I was signing up for an account on The Matrix Online.
I wanted something Matrix Related so I remembered the company "Thomas A. Anderson" worked for. It was called Metacortex. I changed that around to just CoreTechs and I've let it follow most places. I goes by other names too.

The name, "Bold warrior who rides the disc of the Sun" (Mikefule) seemed somehow appropriate, both as an ironic reference to the gold wheel, and as a tribute to the kindly Tongan people who raised me.
wow and i thought i had it tough, u are a brave soul and i am honoured to write to u!
