First, what set this off.

I have an automatically updating feed on my homepage (through Google) that lists the most recent topics on unicyclist.com forums. This is normally what is on my screen if I am not doing anything on my computer. It is a convenient feature. But, when the spammers come in and post, my feed will often look like this.

Unicyclist.com
gay sex
gay sex
gay sex
BUC
gay sex
gay sex

I dont like people walking into my office and seeing that on the computer, so I have had to disable the feed feature.

Are there any steps that could be taken to curb this? I am guessing you could go to maunal approval of new accounts, but I imagine that would put a strain on you.

What if you just put a 24 hour waiting period on new accounts. Would that help?

Those are posts that show up in this forum or the test forum, which do not require the user to be a registered user. What you can do is change your feed to only include the forums you want to see new topics from. You can read about the RSS feeds and how to limit it at:
