I'm just a few days into my new Torker LX 20" and new to this site. I am wondering as I watch the videos and read posts, how long have you been riding? That would give me a gage as to how much I might be able to expect I could improve and accomplish over time. You guys (and gals) are amazing!

2 years.

I'm a slow learner.

Greatest achievment (as regards riding) is riding my 36er 23 miles just before christmas.

I have a great talent for buying unicycles though. Both buying and riding are adictive. You have been warned. :D

I learned to ride about 4 1/2 years ago. But I've only been riding seriously for the past 2- 2 1/2 years.

Wow it does not seem like that long...

Well, you are 13 years old. Also, my hopping height literally doubled during the last month. Keep on practicing.

Your hop height is way more than that...you're not very good with inch > centimeter conversions.

I've been riding 1 year and ~2 months, and all I can do are very basic skills and jump 7-8 inches. Don't worry about others people's progressions (unless you ride with them).

At first I thought the title of this thread was, how long have you been hiding? And it was funny.

Heh. I meant to say inches...and I broke my record today, and got 21 inches, so that's about 53 cm.

Started riding in...let's see...1965. I remember 'cause that's the year the Beatle's "Rubber Soul" Album came out. In case you haven't seen it, here's me riding from 1967: http://youtube.com/watch?v=I3h6mqcGwG8

Only rode off & on and quit riding about 1972. Started again in jan. '06 after a 34 year layoff. Pretty much had to COMPLETELY start from scratch.

Hmm, been riding for about 3, 4ish years. More towards 4.

First year was riding point A to B. 2nd year I popped my tire and ruined my cranks, and took a break for a year. Still was able to uni on my friends uni every now and then. Still just going point A to B.

For the last 8-9months I have seriously been riding. I looked up video, bought a Torker DX, and started to do more than just ride.

Seeing how people are posting gaping length, I can gap 7 feet, 84 inches, or 213.36 cm. Whichever one seems more impressive.

Wow, 7 feet. Is that rolling or static?

Thats rolling. I haven't measure my static yet. That probably around 5.5 feet.

Ill get two pallets and measure between them and keep going until I cant anymore.
