The Unicyclist.com Chat Room- A Place to Set Up Chats

Well as many of you know (and many of you don't) there is a chat room for unicyclist.com. Sadly, it gets used very rarely. I was thinking it would be neat to set up chat times for people to know that there would be someone else (hopefully many other people) to talk to. I realize that because of time zone differences not everyone would be able to be on, but people within a few hours time zone would be able to chat, schedule permiting for people.

So how it would work is someone would propose a chat time (and state what time zone you are talking about). People could log onto the chat room here:http://www.gabbly.com/unicyclist.com, and change their name to their unicyclist.com username. Here is a website so that lazy people can change whatever time zone the person suggested into their time zone: http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html

MR is no good. Topics changing constantly, sometimes you can't get a reply for a few hours, not a real conversation setting, whereas the gabbly chat is.

These chats would only actually be the people who wanted to have a real conversation, and not mess around pretending to be other people.

i would love to do it, yet timezone and the fact that alot of people will not co-operate, does not help much.

The time you suggested turns into some un-godly hour of the morning for i, which does not help for someone who has to get up at 5 every morning.

Yeah, I realize that. I just suggested one time that might work for some people near me. If you want to start a chat for your area, then go right ahead.
