did those pedals you were using for the barefoot riding have pins in them?

if so, OWW!

How big was that bc wheel? It looked like 16" or smaller.

That would be great. You say you're Finnish, you mean you were born here in Finland or? :)

I knew somebody would ask that. No, there were no pins. Yet, it's anything but comfy to ride barefoot anyway, when there's nothing between your foot and the pedal. Though I've also ridden barefoot with pinned pedals. All I can say it's painful.

That BC wheel was made out of an old children's bicycle I think. So I think it could be perhaps 16" or 18". If Aleksi's gonna read this he'll probably correct me if I'm wrong. ;)

And thanks for your comments in general so far!

Thanks, I don't know if they're that huge. The biggest one was perhaps the last, haven't measured, but maybe a little above 85cm.

Thatīs a good question. As Eero said it is made from an old bike wreck, so Iīm not sure but I believe it is 18". It looks quite small on the film, but actually itīs huge.

Nice! Did Aleksi ride a 16" bc? To me it looked harder than riding a 20".

it's probably harder at high speeds but I would imagine that it would be easier to make quick adjustments to where the wheel is underneath you if the wheel is smaller and lighter.

Well hard to say, cause I havenīt ever tried any other BC.

But the hardest thing with my BC, in my opinion, is that the plates arenīt perfectly in balance. The other plate is almost 1 cm further from the hub than the other, so it doesnt roll straight by itself

Sounds good to me, itīs always nice to ride with "new" people. And Espoo is about 150 km from Turku, about 2 hours trip with train or car.
