Well, the snowstorm that has been beating down on us for the past couple days seems to have let up. We have around 30"-35" with drifts that are closer to 5 feet. There was too much snow on our driveway to use our snowblower so we had to use shovels which took a few hours. But we built an awesome snow castle!

Right before the storm hit my brother and i built up an incredibly fun snow/mud/sand bike as a christmas present to ourselves, with the Surly Pugsely frame, Endomorph 3.7 tires on 26in rims. It absolutley FLOATS on top of snow. It is incredibly fun to bomb down hills on.

So did anyone else in the northwest get dumped on by this storm?

hahaha.
as soon as we can get to the store to devlop the pics i will post them!
(we are cool:rolleyes: and dont have a digital camera.. my brother and i spend all our money on bikes and unis)

falling in this much snow doesnt even hurt, it is just fun.
i dont even know how many times i went over the handlebars cause i wasnt leaning back enough haha.

the only bummer is that i cant get up to the mountains to shred it on a snowboard!
if only the mountains were 20 miles closer and minus the highway i would attempt to take my snowmobiles up there.

Aaaaaaah you're making me jealus! The only snow we have is frozen solid and might as well be ice.... It's fun riding bikes/uni's down short steep hills and the like. And snowskating. I want to snowskate too...

They have snow on the ski mountain though, I'm going snowboarding sometime next month...

I only get to ski/snowboard 5-6 times in a year.:(

Haha, my turn: I got a slightly used World Industries snowskate and a Premier snowskate for 50 cents each at a used store.:p

I really do not find it very 'schary'(sic). It does not 'suck ass'. How can a change in temperature 'suck ass'? Also, 'meen'(sic) is not a word, nor is 'dgrees'(sic). You used the word 'no' as a verb and you forgot your period.

0 out of 10 timtimtimmy. I doubt your parents will be impressed.

Let's see if we can pull out of this profanity fest and talk about the snow.

So did anyone else in the northwest get dumped on by this storm? Is Colorado considered northwest? Just curious, being a Pacific NWerner I always think of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and possibly Wyoming as NW. We regularly call Arizona and New Mexico SW. Just where does CO fit in? Certainly not mid-west.

Denver Airport is supposed to open at Noon today, I heard yesterday the first new reservations they were taking for flights to Denver was for the 26th. Two of my managers flew out from Denver earlier this week for our Christmas dinner. One flew back on Tuesday and got home OK. The other was scheduled to fly back at 6:00 Thursday. He ended up flying to Salt Lake City yesterday and driving home. We have another Denver guy driving home from Dallas because of the cancelled flights.

We got about 2-3inches of snow in Spokane.

This winter has been horrible, I guess its been good for the drivers and anyone else commuting in the nice sunny weather we've had this winter, but I would really like more snow.

The snow didn't even last that long, we got the couple inches in the morning, but midday it was mostly slush and a lot already melted. Today its just wait, raining, and grey.

To be honest, im not sure. I don't think we would be counted as a NWern state, but we aren't south either. Why not midwest? I do believe thats what we are haha..

I just knew that colorado as well as a few of the NWestern states got hit by this storm.

No just the deck without wheels kinda thing. But still, it was a pretty good deal....

It was werid, we had snow almost all the way from halloween through thanksgiving, then last week we had one really warm day that melted everything at once. And now it's back to cold again.
