It would make things easier but its just as easy to right-click the video, go to properties, highlight and copy the source, and hyperlink it into your own link, then you can save it.

First, start with the video in the gallery you want to watch, or any video really.
15709

Right-click and go to properties.
15710

From there, go to the location/souce. Highlight all of it, and copy it.
15711

Now, go to make a post and click on the 'insert link' option.
15712

In the 'insert link' option, paste the video source that we copied in step 3.
15713

This will give you the link, so when you post or preview your post, it will show the link. From there, just right click and save it.

Link (http://www.unicyclist.com/gallery2/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=288140&g2_serialNumber=1&g2_GALLERYSID=440a1cb32632a3d3c40a865771eac2c2)
15714

Thats all there is too it. Kinda seems likea lot to download a movie, but it only takes a few seconds to copy and paste the stuff. =p

Or you could try my Gallery Downloader Bookmarklet (http://www.unicyclist.com/forums/showthread.php?t=53550). Run the bookmarklet on the gallery page that is playing the video and it will download the video. Works in IE, Firefox, and Opera.

But yes, a download link in the gallery would be easier and quite convenient.

Agreed
I liked it when I could download a video to watch offline, whenever I wanted. Until I read this thread, I didn't know how I could download them without that button!

Thanks for the guide Jerrick!

Rock on!

The download URL format has changed slightly. It now looks like this:
h**p://www.unicyclist.com/index.php?g2_itemId=******&g2_view=core.DownloadItem&page=gallery

My gallery downloader bookmarklet will generate the necessary URL for you.
