Which is better, physics or chemistry?
Well, obviously physics... What a poll.

oh no not science :( brings back bad memories of my scary rugby player GCSE chemistry teacher who messed up his hand once with an axe whilst chooping wood and shouted really loud

Physics is the root of chemistry. Therefore physics trumps chemistry.
What do you mean better? Chemistry has given us glues, detergents, dyes and plastics. Physics has given us the laser, the microwave and (for better or for worse) nuclear energy. Both fields have contributed to our modern ways of life.

Which do you enjoy studying more?

As my physics teacher loves to say, chemistry is just tiny physics. I like the study of physics more.

Everyone knows that alchemy is way better than physics or chemistry... ;)

Physics was a whole lot easier for me than Chemistry was. Biochemistry is the most amazing thing to me.

Polls are useless and annoying. (http://www.unicyclist.com/forums/showthread.php?t=53871) Their results are never posted. They are there for one of five reasons (http://www.unicyclist.com/forums/showthread.php?t=53755&highlight=post) even ones about subjects in which probability and statistics are used.

Harper is useless and annoying. His post are never useful. He is there for one of five reasons part of the ones that are useless to the thread.

i'm so undecided... it's too hard to choose... i wish this poll had a close date, because that would force me to choose. i think i'll wait to see how everyone else is voting before taking a side.

I know what he meant, though.

It used to be believed that alchemy (transmutation of elements) was chemistry by nature. The ultimate goal was to turn lead (Pb) into gold (Au). It is now known to be one of the branches of physics. Gold is quite easy to make it's just hopelessly expensive to do so. I did alchemy today. I combined 4He at some high velocity with 3He and made unstable 7Be which decays to stable 7Li with a 54 day half-life. I get to make all kinds of cool stuff using alchemy (nuclear physics). Lunch is still the second best part of the day. The best part is going home and watching peoples' reactions to my anti-poll campaign. It's fun. They're easy. This is a particularly rewarding one:

and it's actually quite clever.
This one is slightly disappointing until you read the white (invisible) print (it's really there) and realize that he gets the point. The results are not actually shown. The status of the data which could be analyzed and interpreted is shown. The results of those analyses are never done.

Haha, that made me laugh.
Physics is way better than chemistry. I hate chemistry a lot.
