3 months in Hawaii!

Hello all,
I'm leaving for Hawaii on Tuesday! I'm going to be working with the Volcano circus group on the Big Island for the next three months. I'm only taking my KH20" (weight restrictions) but would like to know if anyone on these forums has been, and what they would recomend as things to do there.

The watersports and stuff are good there, which you probably know anyway...

Befriend locals. Spend some time getting baked in Hilo. Adjust to island time and don't adjust back. Hug a tree.
