check out this page here (http://pilotcareer.org/im/school_locator.php) and see if theres a school near your house. If theres a member school near your house, I'll give you a free flight!

I need to be taking flight lessons once a month to keep my loans out of deferral, but there arent any schools near my house...

So If you;re willing to pick me up at a commercial airport (one which any airline flies into) and drive me to the flight school (possibly at the same airport, maybe a few miles down the road at a smaller airport) then I'll take you up for an hour.

I might need to do a half hour checkride prior to taking you up, you're welcome to ride in the back for that. every flight school is different.

EDIT I'd prefer that it be a fixed wing school; I don't have a helicopter license, so I couldn't let you fly up front or actually handle the controls on a helo.

Sky Walk Inc., at Sacramento Executive Airport. Only a few miles away from Sacramento International, which is served by Southwest or otherwise the airline of your choice. Stay at my house, and then if we're not dead afterward, we can go ride a trail!

The last time I was at the controls of an airplane I was shown how to pilot it through a loop, a roll, and an immelman. What's next?

are you available in the next few days? If so, its a date (oh, and you have to take me off the "little punk" list :p )

I just called the school, they'll need a checkout (maybe an hour of ground training and half an hour in the air) and possibly a little homework before just you and I can run off with one of their planes...

shouldnt be a problem though, I'll send you a PM with my ph number and we can chat :-) (or, if you'd call on a landline, you can PM me and I'll save you a long distance call :-)

I'm not good enough to muni yet, but thanks for the offer... maybe next month!!!

I'd love to get the time and money to do that sometime... It looks like a blast.

I'm afraid that a cessna 172 might not be the best platform for aerobatics... plus parachutes chafe me so...

how long ago was that?

I live in Los Angeles. There must be a flight school here somewhere. I'd be willing if it were possible to do it on a weekend. It looks liek there is Long Beach, Compton or Riverside. Long Beach or Compton would be closer to LAX. Scratch that the compton plane school link is dead and the phone number is no longer listed. But if you wanna do helicopter you have several options. I wouldn't mind just riding in back.

My American Warbird (T-3) flight was around in June.

are you available in the next few days? If so, its a date (oh, and you have to take me off the "little punk" list :p )
You can take yourself off the little punk list. But the next few days is bad. My house is all disconboobulated while we get the floors sanded. I'm crammed into my office right now, hiding from the dust! Then when it's done we have to put the house back together so we can live in it...

Yes, I pity you as I think you're in the flattest state in the union. Easy for hurricanes to get across, but at least no earthquakes or mudslides!

If you need to contact me you can always start with email. My email address is in my sig line, or on my web site.
