Now it's becoming a little more clear. It's all a conspiracy to sell millions of atomic clocks!

BTW, does anyone think huge masses of people in the world's most populous countries (like China and India) will be participating in this? Mostly I think it will be a lot of Internet users; not a very large percentage of the population...

One the site it says they have almost 600,000,000 people signed up to jump, but I wonder how many of them actually will and also how many people will tell there friends that arn't internet users to jump.

Ill try and remeber to jump.(In the other thread we talked about the world ending.) (If this actually worked, then it could happen soon due to it spinning off course therefore becoming too hot or too cold. :p )

I've got an atomic clock, but I'm still going to jump like 100 times just to be sure I don't miss it or something!

So how high should one jump? It stands to reason that everyone must jump at the same moment and to the same maximum height to enjure that they connect with the earth at the same time as everyone else.

I feel real bad though that you won't have use of my 290 lbs. I'll be setting up for a big yard sale at that time. Unityler will just have to think heavy thoughts in my stead when he jumps.

I'm sorry, but I'm not waking up at 6am to jump.

It would be so cool if the world ended because of this...I'll see how things go when I wake up...

So how long until we know if the a new earth's orbit has healed global warming? I give it a 1000 years until we know for sure.

Ahh, I was browsing our Press Association pictures in work today when this one came in with the following caption...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v608/Paper1970/jump.jpg

People jump together at 12:39:13h Central European Summer Time for
"World Jump Day", in Lausanne, Switzerland, Thursday, July 20, 2006. World
Jump Day is a hoax organized by German artist Torsten Lauschmann, claiming
to be Professor Hans Peter Niesward from the Institute for Gravitational
Physics in Munich, and is in no way serious. The organization wanted to have
600 million people from the western hemisphere jump simultaneously. They
claim this will move the Earth out of its current orbit into a new one, one
that will minimize global warming and extend a day to 25 hours.

I don't think that lady on the right ought to be jumping in her condition...
