Static trapeze - moves performed on a static bar in the air.

ACROBATICS - the formation of shapes using your body, such as the human pyramid.

ROPE WORK - climbing a rope and then performing movement displays such as being spun round or hanging upside down.

STILTS - walking on sticks, either hand held or strapped to your legs.

DIABLO - controlling an egg-timer shaped object on a string attached to two hand held sticks.

DEVIL STICKS - keeping a stick in the air and making it dance by only using two hand held sticks.

CHINESE RIBBON - a visual display using a long piece of ribbon attached to a stick.

CIGAR BOXES - a visual display using several coloured plastic bricks, keeping them in the air using only your hands.

PEDAL-GOES - riding a piece of apparatus with only pedals and wheels, (a device that helps prepare you for the unicycle).

ROLLA-BOLLA - standing and performing tricks on a board balanced on a tube.

JUGGLING - controlling several balls in the air.

UNICYCLING - riding on a cycle with just one wheel.

Those definitions were written by a journalist, or otherwise someone who's not too deeply into those activities. I noticed misspellings on "Diabolo" and rola-bola. Not sure on the bola, but pretty sure it's not all double-Ls. The definitions were very simplistic. People here would spend weeks taking them apart and tweaking them.

He's probably refering to a small "hour glass".
