front or back?

I have never been told so should I be putting the front of my foot on the peddle or the back of my foot on the pedal?

Niether unless you want to bail. The pedal should sit arounfd the middle of your foot for when your learning...Or just do whatever is comfortable for you. Unicycling is very customizable for every person. What works for some one may not work for you. Try a bit of everything and pick a stlye that fits you just right.

You will find a good spot for it, when learning it can matter alot. Once you are good, you will be able to change in mid-ride sub-conscously

If the front of your foot is on the pedal it makes it much easier to get into seat-out tricks.
