gallery video format?

Hello all.

I've been finding that I cannot view any of the videos in the gallery. If I go up one level to see what else is in the gallery I see something like this:

I think those broken icons indicate links that don't work, and I can't even right click to see what information there might be about the files.

I've read the other threads in this section that deal with gallery and video issues, but cannot see if any of that applies to my case.

Apparently the files are in a format that my Apple computer running OSX 10.4.7 cannot identify. I have the usual players, (quicktime, windows media, realplayer, VLC). Perhaps I'm just missing some plugin?

I'm stumped.

UPDATE: I found something called Flip4Mac WMV which, among other things, allows Safari browsers to play internet based wmv files. Now I've viewed wmv files on other sites so this did not seem to be the issue for me, but since installing this thing I am able to view more videos on your gallery.

HOORAY!

Too soon yet to know if this solves the entire issue, but I seem to be okay now. Of course if you think there is something else I need to do please let me know.
